Now we are finally out with the campervan again! We both have a lot of work to do in front of the computers and decided to roll to a campsite for a change of scenery while we work. Many campsites are closed this time of year, but we finally found a year-round campsite that we were curious about: Jogersö camping, near Oxelösund outside Nyköping.
Jogersö Camping
Jogersö camping is located on Jogersö outside Oxelösund, not far from Nyköping. We thought that it would be a little half empty at the campsites here in October, but we met a lot of motorhomes and caravans. Some are of course set up for year-round use, but we also saw several rolling in and out during the afternoon and evening yesterday.
We got a nice welcome when we arrived and there seems to be everything you need, like a nice service house and a practical place to fill and empty. The grass is very wet, but we chose one of the few sites on gravel so we don't have to sink into the grass.
Jogersö sea baths
The campsite is located right next to a nice sea bath. There is a beach where it is certainly nice to swim in the summer and you can see that there is usually both a beach café and canoe rental. Now it is of course low season and the beach café is closed, but it seems that the restaurant Källan serves brunch on Sundays. It is also not deserted here, but the sea bath seems to be a popular place for walks. Here is a picture bomb!
Playing with drones

Isn't it great to be in autumn when the sky is blue and the air is clear. Here in Västergötland, the rain is hitting the window and everything is equally grey so now it feels pretty good that the motorhome was cancelled for winter rest this week. Have a really nice weekend!
14 October 2017 - 8:10
Helena says:
Surely it is more boring when it is grey ....! It has also rained a lot here, considering how wet it is on the ground 😉.

Matts Torebring says:
In spring, summer and early autumn, it is usually "full" on a Friday evening when we arrive after work. Now, instead, few are open. In addition, not all sites have a road surface to drive on. You have found a really beautiful place, which is practically landscaped with both gravel and grass. Have a good time and enjoy.
14 October 2017 - 8:45
Helena says:
We understand that not everyone is open, but still unexpectedly many are closed, we think. We do not usually use the motorhome in the winter, but we think the month of October works well! Even many parking spaces that have closed ...

Thanks for the tip, can probably be a trip there before the snow comes. It is not so far from Örebro. Nice pictures you always present and fun with the drone, what perspective you get from the air.

Helena says:
This is a nice and cosy place! And glad you like our pictures! 🙂 The drone gives a different perspective!

I think Peter can linger a bit over my cottage so I can see that it has survived Aurora17 (we got a letter saying they could land and do something). Seriously, you have to go out on the cliffs of Femore.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to keep that beach café alive. Lots of break-ins etc. but Källan has done well. I think they change owners or something now.
14 October 2017 - 11:25
Helena says:
Glad you know this area so well! I had to google Aurora17, but now I realise that it's a military thing 😉 Let's see if we can linger there 🙂.

Nice pictures! Is it difficult to manoeuvre the drone! Looks good with overview pictures !

Hello Annar, and thank you! Peter says it's easy to control the drone. However, he thinks that the camera settings have been a bit tricky to get right.

Haha Thore, there is nothing wrong with the electricity in the poles here so we are warm and cosy inside the motorhome 🙂 How hot is it in Croatia now?

How fun that you have been here with the last motorhome! 🙂 25 degrees does not sound stupid! However, we got British summer on Sunday. so not so sorry for us 😉 Where is it going next for you ...?

BP says:
What a nice place you have found! As you say, there are surprisingly many motorhomes/caravans left there. Had probably also put Freedom on gravel, because there were lakes both on land and "for real". Great pictures! Finally, Peter can play with his drone in Sweden. The picture he took is absolutely superb!
14 October 2017 - 17:58
Helena says:
There were many motorhomes and caravans that came rolling in in the evening as well. Popular place it seems! Glad you like the drone picture 🙂

After all the rain, it's great to have a gravel area. Nice picture with the drone and now I can't wait to take a trip with the car.
Hugs and enjoy the motorhome life.

Helena says:
Glad you like the drone image! The gravel area felt safe, because it was really wet in the grass ...

How nice to hear that you like our blog! Yes, especially when it's sunny, autumn is also nice. We like to use the year and not think that the fun is over just because the summer is over 😉.

Jogersö is nice! I went to swimming school there as a child. Many funny memories ... in the 70s my aunt and uncle fought there. It was so cosy to visit. My parents had a house and boat in Oxelösund. Our summer paradise.
