Here we go and it's Peter at the helm! Autumn brings less light and rain in the cottages. It also brings wonderful colours in nature, mushrooms, the best fish and shellfish. I love the sun and you know that, but I choose to see the most positive side of life as well.
I've had two days of fever this week, but that's part of life, and there are people who have it much worse. What always remains is food. What we have to have in us to survive, food should be a highlight and preferably every day. Join us on Happy Friday!
Table of contents
Our motorhome that broke down
The insurance went to hell, haha, as usual with insurance, and there will be a post about it later. Less sun and heat, negative messages, diseases, rain, and now we have to find the good in everything. Sure, we live in an island country but we have our worries anyway. It takes ten positive experiences to cancel out one negative one, and now it is important to be aware of everything we have.
The good things in life
We were at the Grand hotel last weekend on seafood buffet and they have really lost quality. It was also very expensive and I no longer recommend it. What did I get instead? We started with my son and his wife and friends. Smiles, hugs, bubbles and laughter. After the buffet we went back to them and more friends came and it was very positive and made my day several times over.
Training
We have started training again and our goal is to be in shape by Christmas. We already feel much better in very little time, and autumn and winter is a good time for us in Sweden, which otherwise can be a bit long. It gives positive energy and I will write about that later, about how to exercise at different ages, weight, disabilities. The muscles we have should be trained to get as mobile a life as possible. That was pretty damn positive :-)!
Food should be a highlight
Food, ohhh food. I personally think we eat smart and very well. If you've had a semi-bad day, a pizza that you eat in 10 minutes doesn't help. Sitting down and enjoying delicious flavours is a great thing. Most people like good flavours but few have the energy to make them. Many people think that good food is expensive, but that's because we think wrong. The piece of meat or fish should not make up half the plate because then it becomes very expensive.
Meat portions should be no more than 100 grams and fish no more than 150 grams, so it won't be expensive. There are so many good things that you can eat and mix, and that can really suit most people. Enjoy good food and have a quiet moment because you need it. Food should be a highlight. Positive? Yep!
Motorhome to oxelösund
Yes! Camping Jogersö we go to outside Nyköping, north of Norrköping. The weather is supposed to be nice all weekend in Norrköping but not in Stockholm, and I hope they are right for once. We have the luxury of a campervan and we'll be doing lots of filming this weekend. My ideas are queuing up with everything I want to do in life. If you don't have something positive, you create it!
How has your week been?
If it's crap, start with it but end with something good, not the other way round.

I really hope your houseboat doesn't turn out that badly 😉.
Have a nice weekend!

I don't think so either Snogge, but it's fun to play with a new video programme.
13 October 2017 - 17:21
Lennart says:
Food is very important to us!
We are also going to Norrköping this weekend!
13 October 2017 - 7:18
Peter says:
We are outside Nyköping now and stand down by the lake. Jogersö is well named and it is very nice here. Nice weekend

åsa in åsele says:
After rain comes sunshine... or 😉 but you Peter is right, it's not possible to bury yourself in all the negative, because after all, life is positive as long as we breathe 🙂.
Have a lovely motorhome weekend, hugs.
13 October 2017 - 7:19
Peter says:
Thank you Åsa. I am basically positive and I think more people need some of that too?. Have a nice weekend.

Mr Steve says:
Food should be a highlight. So true.
Here at Getingstorp it has been a roller coaster ride lately. Unusual for us because the normal state here is always that everything is on top.
Big changes are coming. Changes that we of course hope will go well. We will do everything we can to make sure it goes well.
Now we will make sure to have an enjoyable weekend as we will have children and grandchildren at a late birthday party for D. Have a nice weekend!
13 October 2017 - 7:40
Peter says:
Oops, Steve! That sounds both happy and maybe not. You know I hope all is well with you two. Have a nice lively weekend at the cottage.

Karin Eklund says:
You have the right approach to life.
If it rains, you have to provide the sun yourself!
Good luck!
13 October 2017 - 7:42
Peter says:
Exactly, Karin. You have to do that in life because only you can change things. Have a nice weekend?
13 October 2017 - 17:28
Mr Nils-Åke Hansson says:
Such dreams are not good for your health! Rest up now at the campsite and come back to the houseboat refreshed.
13 October 2017 - 8:10
Peter says:
Haha, we will eat well and have a nice weekend with lots of work, but a change of scenery is always nice. Nice weekend.
13 October 2017 - 17:29
Ditte says:
Totally agree! Being positive gives so much more! As for the food, it is very important to us and the food can be expensive. For two people, it will still be marginal. I love to browse in Hötorgshallen and at Urban Deli and prefer to buy less weight of something but with good quality. We also have a great fish shop here on Götgatan that is often visited.
Wish you a nice trip this weekend and right now it looks very promising weather-wise even over Södermalm. Not a cloud.
Too bad Grand didn't deliver in
13 October 2017 - 8:52
Peter says:
I am very disappointed with the Grand but I am moving on. There are so many good things and I'm not going to cry over spilt milk anymore. I will look for something very special for next weekend because we will have guests then. Have a nice weekend Ditte

Ama de casa says:
I have a certain ability to repress what has been less good. Trying to think of something negative about the past week ... The only thing I can think of was that we had to wait 20 minutes after the agreed time before the guy came with the key to the apartment we rented. Wow, wow, wow... Outrageous right? 😉 But what the heck, we are in Spain, so what did we expect? 😀
Positives are much easier. The best thing was that we finally got to go on a trip again. In fact, only two days this time, but if you like to travel, all trips are fun, short and long 🙂 That I then turned one year old there during the trip, it did not make things worse 😀.
Have a happy Friday!
13 October 2017 - 10:10
Peter says:
Wow Ama! Congratulations are in order. I hope it was bubbly and an extra nice dinner, and maybe a kiss on the forehead? Life is happier if you are positive, or you don't fall as far down when something shitty happens. Have a cosy weekend.

Ruth in Virginia says:
Excuse me, excuse me!
Hard to find anything fun and enjoyable in the US these days.
Horrific, deadly fires in California's wine country
and also in the southern part.
Trump thinks Puerto Rico has had enough help, when more
and half of the island does not have electricity and drinking water.
59 people shot dead and over 500 hospitalised in Las Vegas.
The question is always what will happen to North Korea,
when the idiot in the White House is playing cat and mouse with the other idiot.
Oh, well - ONE nice event. My little granddaughter came up with
visit yesterday after visiting great grandma in Palo Alto for 10 days. 🙂
Love the photo of your lovely fireplace. Talk about warmth!!!
13 October 2017 - 15:04
Peter says:
Hi Ruth! I understand that you are not having an easy time with a madman at the helm, and then all that is happening around you in the US. I hope this is not just the beginning, hua. Thank you for taking the good stuff to the end and that's where you should draw strength. It is important to find a distance for all the shit that happens, and come out of it with your head intact. Have a nice weekend Ruth.

Annalena says:
I don't think I have any negatives this week, but I do have several positives... 🙂.
* I will be an "extra grandmother" in April!!!! (my husband will be a grandfather)
*I have met almost all my work colleagues, on a company golf day, after 1.5 years! So cosy to see everyone again and that I was so welcomed (and hugged!)!
*I have tried tabata and it was fun!
Also, I saw that you are watching Designated survivor! Isn't it good??!!! 😉.
Hope you have a nice weekend in the motorhome!
13 October 2017 - 16:32
Peter says:
This week's most positive! ❤️ That's how the weeks should be and that's how the world should be. We can do the 5-2 method. Mon-Tues can be total chaos and the rest of the week should just be good. Thank you for sharing and the series is very good. Have a great weekend.

BP says:
You are soooo right! Food should always be a treat for the stomach and not least for the eye as well. Personally, I am happy to pay a little extra if I get good quality. This applies to both restaurant food and the purchase of raw materials. Our fish and meat counter at the local ICA is at least in the same league as Melander's, and it's also cheaper, so...
13 October 2017 - 17:25
Peter says:
Hello there! I think the fish counters have improved and our ICA at Lindhagensplan is not bad. The best is right now "verdens mat" in Barkarby which we have written about before. WOW what prices and the staff are super knowledgeable. Now I will start mixing with my new fish dish on trial. Vendace! We'll see if it will be good? Nice weekend BP

Matts Torebring says:
Friday the 13th today, you can't help but think about the morning. In any case, it was the best Friday in a long time. The sun has shone, good sales, and now we are sitting in the motorhome and have eaten three thick, grilled sausages with bread, can it get any better?
13 October 2017 - 19:01
Motorhome Helge says:
Ugh how sad and hard to be without him. How we miss him! But it had to be that the motorhome Helge had to be cancelled early this year for winter storage, as mom and dad have other plans. Thus no Spain/Portugal trip this winter. But in mid-April we get to pick him up again and it feels so positive.
The evening's lamb racks were also very successful, a real feast! Good finish on Friday the 13th. Nice Weekend!
13 October 2017 - 19:03
Across the board says:
Good food is one of the highlights of life. My week has been rainy, windy and "painful" but now we're sitting in the camper van, snuggling in the dark and reading travel literature. Happy weekend to you both!
