In terms of turnover, corporate bookings account for 20 per cent of First Camp's turnover, even though it has not actively pursued this new business segment. To meet the demand, First Camp is now launching the corporate offer Smart Stay.
2018's hottest cities
Guidebook publisher Lonely Planet has once again named next year's hottest cities. The 2018 winner is ... Seville in Spain, which according to Lonely Planet has flourished while revitalising its artistic past. In tenth place is Oslo, which it says is no longer overshadowed by its stylish Scandinavian neighbours. Top 5 hot cities in 2018:
- Seville, Spain
- Detroit, USA
- Canberra, Australia
- Hamburg, Germany
- Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Wifi on almost all SJ carriages
Previously, WiFi was available on SJ's more modern trains, but not in the 1980s carriages pulled by locomotives. Now SJ has conducted successful tests and decided to install WiFi in many of its regional and intercity trains.
As a start, WiFi will be installed in 132 wagons, which corresponds to about 45 per cent of all wagons in the local trains. The installations are expected to start in early December and as the wagons are completed, they will be released into traffic. A wagon with WiFi can be recognised by a WiFi symbol inside the wagon, above the doors at both ends.

Now I almost fell off my chair. DETROIT !!! Elegant ???
Haven't heard many people here saying they would like to
tourism in Detroit - in fact, none.
And Canberra - remember what Ama wrote about
Australia's capital, and it wasn't exactly appealing.
A city built for government offices, so perhaps elegant.
Have not been there. But trust Ama. 🙂
Seville is a super nice and interesting city; would probably call the
Madrid elegant, too.
Venice - too much water and dirty canals.

Helena says:
Haha, sometimes you don't know how they choose... 😉 Now Detroit was on the list of "hot" cities and not "elegant" and I haven't been there myself... I like Seville too!

Like Ruth, I wonder how people "think" when choosing destinations/cities in certain categories...
While Ruth is surprised that Detroit was chosen as hot, I don't understand what Hamburg has to do on that list. Reeperbahn perhaps, so very shabby, but there is a famous "red-light district" there, so maybe it refers to it... Seville, on the other hand, fits, for sure!
As far as elegant cities go, the choice is fine, as long as you hold your nose in Venice...
Finally wifi on SJ's trains, something that has been available on Israeli trains and buses for about 10 years...

Lists like this always give you room to think about how you thought ... 😉 I also like Seville! When it comes to WiFi, Sweden is far from the best (but far from the worst too ;)).

Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
Like the previous comments, one can only wonder what Lonely Planet thought when they named the hottest cities. Although I have only visited Hamburg, I still find it difficult to understand the foreigners.

A witty afterthought - Lonlely Planet targets young, hip people.
travellers, maybe Detroit has something to offer them, as we "mature!".
people don't really understand.

Ama de casa says:
I'm probably most surprised about Canberra there on the list. I visited the city a month ago and there was nothing wrong with it. But third hottest in the world? Well... Allow me to doubt. 🙂
