Friday at last! This week's post is about luxurious weekend breakfasts, delicious fish dinners and the last motorhome weekend of the season. We are working a lot right now, but have still had the chance for some "luxurious" relaxation such as good food, music and a good TV programme. Worth appreciating!
Luxury weekend breakfasts
What's better than a luxurious breakfast? I know that some people have a hard time eating in the morning and I respect that... even if it's a little hard to understand for someone like me. I wake up ravenous and almost a little shaky from lack of food. Could eat anything really, but it doesn't hurt if it's good!
At the weekend you can treat yourself to a little extra luxury. In the motorhome this weekend we feasted on egg sandwiches with prawn salad one morning and sandwiches with country pâté and Cumberland sauce another morning. Then there was yoghurt with walnuts and pomegranate seeds. How do you make an extra luxurious breakfast?
Tasty fish dinners
It's no surprise that we love fish, right? Peter is also going through a real "cooking period" and is posting lots of recipes at Instagram and YouTube. Here are some of this week's fish dinners!
Last motorhome weekend
Last weekend was our last motorhome weekend this season. We had a really cosy time in Västerås guest harbour with good food, music and a few episodes of 'So much better'. We work a lot almost all the time, so a bit of relaxation can be a great luxury. What has been the best part of your week?

I am a breakfast person too. Can't skip that goal, then it's done 🙂 Right now it's oatmeal that applies with extra everything on it. Nuts, moisture or applesauce. We also like fish and eat it often, so thanks for the tips on fish dishes.
Have a nice weekend.

I never cook oatmeal myself, but when I am ever invited to it, I can think it is good 🙂 Wishing you a nice weekend!

Ama de casa says:
I'm not a breakfast person, luxurious breakfasts are rather wasted on me (then I (unfortunately) catch up on that eating later in the day... 😉 ). But one thing I find hard to resist is when there are chocolate croissants on the breakfast buffet....
The best thing about this week has been the little three-day trip to La Puerta de Segura and Hellín that we did Monday - Wednesday. Love to go out to the small Spanish villages! Since we have met lots of friends here in Torrevieja as well. Damn what we have a good time!!!
Have a really nice Friday 🙂

I can be a little jealous of people who can lie down and drag themselves in the morning and not be woken up by stubborn hunger, haha. It sounds like you had a great time! Will go to the blog and check your actions! 🙂

We eat a proper breakfast. Like Peter, I am also in the cooking group. Now, together with 12 guys cooking, there will also be cooking at home.

So much fun with your cooking group! 🙂

We also usually have special weekend breakfasts. Nothing overly luxurious but just different from the everyday breakfast. The additions to the weekend breakfast are boiled eggs, toast with an aged cheese and marmalade. The weekend breakfast is also served on different crockery than the everyday breakfast.
We eat a lot of fish, so new fish recipes are always fun to try.
The last campervan weekend sounds a bit like fate, but even the campervan season comes to an end.
The best thing about the past week is that we had the grandchildren visit.

Helena says:
It sounds nice with an extra fine porcelain for the weekend! 🙂 A bit sad that the campervan season is over, but then you have something to look forward to 😉.

Isn't it nice to have a "luxurious" breakfast". We try to get "that little extra" almost every day. We are in no hurry in the mornings. I make my own "granola" that tastes good in file / yoghurt and then a lot of fruit both to put in and eat alongside. A good bread is needed and if the husband has not baked (he does it once a week), I buy walnut bread at Gunnarssons konditori. Good toppings with tasty vegetables to cheer up.
The best things that happened during the week are some new job offers that I didn't expect at all and meeting friends in different contexts.
Wishing you a great weekend.
Then I have a problem because my wallet was stolen last Friday and caused a lot of trouble. No money taken from cards though. Fortunately.

Helena says:
Homemade granola sounds really good! And a good bread ... mmm! Exciting with the job offer ...! Very sad with the wallet, however .... although it is nice to hear that you did not lose money from the cards.

A long breakfast a la´ Hotel Breakfast is nice, because on weekdays we leave at different times.

Hotel breakfast is good ... even if it's cooked at home 🙂.

There are very few 'luxury breakfasts',
but of course I enjoy it extra much when I am spoilt with good bread 🙂 ðŸ™'
This week I have been on an excursion 🙂 two different ... first to the neighbouring municipality where Elin and I visited a dear blog friend 🙂 then a "pensioner excursion"/bus trip with my mother to Umeå and shopping,
so my week has been really different and enjoyable,
a positive and fun week.

Nice with excursions! Now I have to go to your blog and look 🙂 Have a nice weekend!!!!

A leisurely breakfast is wonderful and very different from a plate of yoghurt or porridge at 5:30 in the morning when the train is not waiting for you. We often set up a simple brunch and prepare for a good dinner at the weekend.
I'm glad you've been eating lubb. This week our local fish counter advertised lubb, so I had to ask "Mr Google" what kind of fish it is. I think I'll have lubb with horseradish cream and parsnip and carrot purée tomorrow. The recipe sounded so good!
Have a nice weekend!
03 November 2017 - 16:22
Helena says:
I read your comment to Peter and he recognised the recipe, choosing between it and the one we made the other day. Hope the lubben is successful!

Husis blog says:
My owners consider breakfast an important meal, at least for themselves. Often when I'm on a roll with the owners, they go and have a hotel breakfast one of the days. If they don't, it can be a sausage, eggs or scrambled eggs, bacon. Yes, little things like that so they last a few hours.
03 November 2017 - 18:51
Helena says:
Nice that there are more people who like breakfast 🙂 Hotel breakfast is never wrong, as well as an extra luxurious breakfast at home! We also make scrambled eggs from time to time, and sometimes bacon.

Breakfast on a day off - is there anything more delicious? Scrambled eggs, freshly baked bread, a gigantic tub of coffee, fruit in ready-to-chew pieces, lots of good toppings, freshly squeezed juice, a not inconsiderable pile of magazines with attachments and my weekend is saved! Love breakfast!
03 November 2017 - 19:01
Helena says:
Oh, I hear you love breakfast as much as I do! Lovely! 🙂 Wishing you a nice weekend!

Like Ama, I belong to the category "no breakfast person". However, sometimes there is brunch at the weekends and then English breakfast is the order of the day.
Pasta Vongole looks absolutely delicious as does the seabream which we actually make quite often.
Highlights this week for me. Well two lunch dates in the city and that Hamburgarstugan is back in Täby, and we ate there today. Yes, the sun was shining too:-)

I am also a breakfast person. However, it's probably because I don't like to eat in the evening so I always wake up because I want to eat!

Lena - good for the soul says:
Breakfast maniac here too! Must really have breakfast. Porridge, sandwiches, juice and coffee are usually the order of the day. At the weekend I like to luxuriate with a smoothie and some extra vegetables on the sandwich perhaps, which I do not manage to do on a daily basis.
Best this week has to be last night, Friday night, when I could start breathing and let my shoulders down. Sort of. And now I have a completely blank weekend ahead of me.
Hug Lena

I love breakfast in bed and I love hotel breakfasts. But how do you get it when you are single, i.e. never breakfast in bed and you always have to fix everything yourself? Well, every Sunday I trot off to my favourite place for breakfast, it's my "luxury". Nowadays I don't even have to order, the guys bring the breakfast when they see me sitting down. ....
