A taste of winter in Stockholm

This year I (Helena) am really longing for snow and winter, for some reason. Right now it is dark, cold and damp outside - that is, it is absolute worst the weather. But earlier this week we actually got a taste of winter in Stockholm. Might as well enjoy it, right? And then we checked out this year's Christmas display at NK!

A few days of winter in Stockholm

Northern bloggers are spicing up their blogs with beautiful winter pictures right now. Now it's not exactly that I want to leave Stockholm for Norrland, but I would love to have some of their snow!

I also want to take beautiful white winter photos, but how do you do that when you live this far "south"? A white winter in Stockholm you don't get that often, but at least we got a little taste this week! Then comes the next problem ...

How to take photos in the dark? both when you go to work and when you go home? Solution: I took photos during a walk from my office to a meeting at the County Council building in the middle of the day on Tuesday. Against all odds, here's my Stockholm contribution of winter photos!

Christmas signage at NK

The night before last we happened to walk past NK's Christmas signage, which has just opened up. Super nice as usual! I really like the crocheted meals and the mouse selling cinema tickets.

A lot has happened this week, but some of the best things have been the snow and Christmas signage! (The fact that it's dark, cold and damp right now is something we're repressing.) What has been the best part of your week? What are the plans for the weekend?
