Of all the trips we've ever taken, there's one that beats all the others, and that's our year-long motorhome trip around Europe in 2015. Despite this being the coolest trip we've ever done, we realised that it wasn't easy to find information about it on the blog. We have changed that now! We have simply built a page where you can quickly and easily find everything about our year-long motorhome trip.

Now we have gathered all the information about motorhome travel in one place, on the page "Motorhome around Europe". Here we have posted a map of the trip and linked to posts about packing, how much the trip cost, answers to frequently asked questions, etc.
We also describe the entire journey, from start to finish, with links to relevant blog posts. We have divided the journey into different "stages" and for each stage we have chosen to share our best memory and our biggest challenge. After all, when you embark on a journey like this, you face different challenges, even if most of them can be solved without major problems!
Plans for a new motorhome trip
As I have been preparing this page, I have of course been dreaming back to the motorhome trip we did in 2015. What a fantastic year it was! We got to see and experience so much, while still having time to relax, exercise, read books ...
Far from having planned the trip from the beginning, we planned as we went along, taking inspiration from people we met along the way. That's the best thing about travelling by motorhome - you have the house with you and can drive wherever the sun shines or the adventure feels most appealing.
Now we have started planning for the next motorhome trip! I will soon start a 6-month project employment, and after that we plan to travel in Europe for a few months. Where to? We haven't decided yet, but of course we want to see and experience places that we not saw last time. Feel free to make suggestions!

I've been travelling around and reliving your trip, which I followed all year. I am particularly pleased that I was able to tell you about favourite places in Brittany and here in the south of France. Fantastic to see you in Camaret, Gorges de Verdon and the limestone caves in Les Beau de Provence. Our motorhome time is over but the places are still there and are accessible by regular car as well so for us there will be more visits. Hope to see you when you come south to our region again!

Greece is my tip! And then northwards from there.
Crete is like its own country where you can spend a long time.
For the 7th month of winter we are in Paleochora, a fishing village in south-west Crete. And we can never get enough of the island. But we also island hop on other Greek islands in spring and autumn.

You can go to Greece, we think. Our favourite country.
We use your trips to help us when we travel. Last summer we were in Albania and Monte Negro by motorhome. We will return to both countries again. There is a lot of great things to see.

It sounds fantastic to be able to polish this and make a new version. I loved the caravan life where travelling was the goal. Thrived so well in our little nest. Did not feel small in any way, you adapt. But that was then.

The next trip should definitely go to the part of Europe you didn't visit last time, namely Eastern Europe: Russia, the Baltic countries, Slovakia, Hungary, and then Greece. Including Crete! 🙂

We did a 3 month motorhome trip in this country in 2016. In a motorhome of course. We visited a lot of Scottland and some back and forth down through England and ended up on the marvellous island.

What a wonderful summary. Must have been twice as good to be involved in this as few of the other owners do. As the owners were not active in the blog world then, they unfortunately did not follow the journey but it usually does now. Right now, the owners are looking a little extra at your Poland pages because I have heard that they are talking about going there this summer, if they get a few weeks of holiday together.

Your blog is exemplary easy to search in when it comes to travel destinations, as now before our month-long spring trip with Croatia as the main destination. Even if you do not need to plan so many details in advance, it is always good to be informed and know what good (and less good) alternatives there are along the way.
Then we look forward to your new journey. It seems that many people recommend an eastern route and there is an incredible amount to see and experience.
