I (Helena) am still sick, with winter vomiting or some other misery. I don't get many metres from the bed and none of us were outside the houseboat yesterday. So what can we offer then? We'll just have to show some views from a houseboat. Here in the marina where we live always something!
Traffic outside the houseboat
Just because it's December doesn't mean it's quiet on the water. Quite the contrary! In recent days, the traffic has been quite heavy outside our houseboat. And who said that you should only have Christmas trees in houses and flats? The day before yesterday, one drove past our kitchen window - with a magnificent Christmas tree on the bow.
Work in the marina
Incidentally, work is constantly going on here in Pampas marina. A new aquavilla (floating villa) has been towed in and is located at the far end of the marina. It will probably get a place somewhere on one of the piers. We don't know for sure where yet, but the marina's boats have been there working and fixing.
Propellers for winter
Another thing that is going on is putting in the propellers for the winter. We live in an ice-free marina and it is kept ice-free with propellers that keep the water in constant motion. Always something to look at outside the windows!

Ama de casa says:
Hope you get better quickly now!
Haha! Not often you see that they come towing with new neighbours in that way. Or yes, by the way... At campsites, caravans are also towed in, when I think about it.
Glad that you still have so much to look at when you are okry, but hope you get out again soon!
20 December 2017 - 10:04
Helena says:
Here the neighbours go around sometimes, haha. And even though it's good to have a view, I'm starting to long out a little ... 😉.

Mr Steve says:
It's a lot worse there in the marina, not what I expected during Advent. It is different from what I see when I look out.
Get well soon!!!

Helena says:
I can imagine that it is quieter outside your windows. Possibly some birds or other animals?

Agree a very nice place. Saw it myself in Oct. Sad to be ill in Christmas week. One advantage no Christmas rush and you can trust with a clear conscience. Wishing you both and other family members Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We are heading south.

Helena says:
Funny that you like our marine Annar! 🙂 Yes, illness definitely makes you allow yourself to lie in bed ... At the same time, it has been a bit tricky because I will finish the job at my current workplace, but if you are sick, you are ...
20 December 2017 - 18:47
Lena - good for the soul says:

It is then a heavenly luck for a poor sick person that something happens in Pampas Marina;-) It almost looks like an "industrial harbour" with all the big boats. But now I hope you get well soon!
20 December 2017 - 18:48
Helena says:
Thanks BP! Yes, this has felt a bit like an industrial harbour here the last few days 😉.
21 December 2017 - 18:53
Matts Torebring says:
It is also an insight to realise that the view to be able to go out does not exist. You have to stay inside and look at the view. Get well soon!

Haha, great comment today Matts! 😉 Have fun!

Not fun to be sick AND why does it happen at long weekends? Get well soon Helena! Peter will certainly offer something good that does not taste like his food deserves.... ;-/
We probably won't, pepper pepper, get sick this Christmas holiday but New Year is also a holiday...¿ you never know?
Happy holidays to you both from Costa Almeria ❤️?
21 December 2017 - 12:25
Helena says:
Peter has cooked some meals the last few days that I have treated a bit ungratefully ... 😉 But it gets better! Thank you and wish you a very nice Christmas holiday!!!

Inga Magnusson says:
I try to imagine myself spending the day on something that is constantly rocking. It's just too horrible, I wouldn't be able to stand it even for a little while. But I guess you don't have a problem with that. You seem to have organised it comfortably inside anyway and that there will be Christmas celebrations even on a boat.
22 December 2017 - 8:33
Helena says:
It rocks a bit, but we usually don't notice it... 😉.
