View from a houseboat

I (Helena) am still sick, with winter vomiting or some other misery. I don't get many metres from the bed and none of us were outside the houseboat yesterday. So what can we offer then? We'll just have to show some views from a houseboat. Here in the marina where we live always something!

Traffic outside the houseboat

Just because it's December doesn't mean it's quiet on the water. Quite the contrary! In recent days, the traffic has been quite heavy outside our houseboat. And who said that you should only have Christmas trees in houses and flats? The day before yesterday, one drove past our kitchen window - with a magnificent Christmas tree on the bow.

Work in the marina

Incidentally, work is constantly going on here in Pampas marina. A new aquavilla (floating villa) has been towed in and is located at the far end of the marina. It will probably get a place somewhere on one of the piers. We don't know for sure where yet, but the marina's boats have been there working and fixing.

And now some other boats are involved... Look closely and you might see the Advent candle holder in the left boat!

Propellers for winter

Another thing that is going on is putting in the propellers for the winter. We live in an ice-free marina and it is kept ice-free with propellers that keep the water in constant motion. Always something to look at outside the windows!
