Today we present 10 popular countries on our blog FREEDOMtravel. We have, for various reasons, delved a little into statistics, and it's just as well that we share them with you! We have checked which pages and posts have been read the most in 2017 and until today, and looked at which countries are at the top. Which country would you like to read more about - one of these or something completely different?

1. Croatia
Our page with travel tips for Croatia is actually the second most visited page on the whole blog after the main page (i.e. www.freedomtravel.se). In addition, our page on pitches in Croatia at number seven. What about the most visited post? It is a post about naturist beaches in Croatia.
2) Albania
In second place is Albania, and this is mainly due to our popular posting Is it safe to travel in Albania? Also our page with travel tips for Albania is popular.
3rd Italy
Italy qualifies in third place as many want to learn. the art of eating a meal in Italy. In addition, our page on campsites and car parks in Italy popular.
4. poland
It is popular to read our travel tips for Poland and we also get a lot of hits on the page about campsites and car parks in Poland. The most read blog post is about Travelling with a motorhome in Poland.
5. Sweden
When it comes to Sweden, it's mainly our page on campsites and car parks in Sweden that are visited. Also our pages with travel tips for Sweden is well attended.
6. Spain/Portugal
Spain and Portugal share sixth place. This is because the post on good fish in Spain and Portugal that receive the most visits. The other things people want to know more about are campsites and... Pitches in Spain and Food, wine and prices in Portugal.
7. Germany
Many are looking for campsites and car parks in Germany and there are also many who want travel tips for Germany. The most read post is about 11 motorhomes camping in Germany.
8. France
Country number eight is on the list because many people read about campsites and camping. car parks in Francebut also because our travel tips for France are popular.
9th Iceland
In ninth place is Iceland. This is because it is popular to read travel tips for Iceland.
10. Austria
Time for Austria! Here it is mainly campsites and car parks in Austria which is popular. Also the post through Austria by motorhome is read a lot.
What other popular countries are on our Blog?
In addition to these countries, many people read about Hungary, the Czech Republic, Malta and Latvia. What about countries outside Europe? Well, there is less interest there, but our most popular countries outside Europe seem to be Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Morocco and New Zealand.

Croatia is apparently very popular, but maybe that's not so surprising. It feels a bit like it's time for a road trip down Europe this summer. It's been quite a few years since we last did it. We did it quite frequently for a few years when the children were small, but then it stopped.

We do not have a motorhome but fly and rent a car if we need to, but I thought it was fun to follow you around Europe on your year-long journey. Albania is the country on this list where I have not yet been and maybe there will be a visit there eventually. (I have told a friend about your site who will soon fly to Tirana and then travel around the country by minibus.

Another interesting post. Everyone talks about Croatia, the sea is lovely and somehow, it feels so easy to drive there. We were there for four or five years, but the quest to cover new countries, then took us to Spain for a few years. Then we've been stuck in France for the last five years. Almost all perhaps because we love all the five-star castle campsites we've stayed at.
We have been greeted by wonderful staff everywhere, we have often been given really large camping plots with hedges and green grass. We are not looking for entertainment, but for wonderful accommodation.

I am always so surprised that Italy generally seems more popular than France, and that France has a reputation for being a bit "difficult". I have only met nice and service oriented French people, the food is fantastic, as well as the nature, the language...! Yep, we are going there again, to my favourite country 🙂 I wanted to drive all the way from home, but the time is too short, so it will be a flight (and I am ashamed of it..) and a rental car from Nice. It is not possible to refrain when the desire for the south of France is so great. Nine days at the end of June and I'm already looking forward to it 🙂 Have a nice evening!

Albania and Poland are two odd destinations in my opinion.
Now I have followed you to Poland and know that it is indeed a tourist country,
but it still feels like an eastern state... we have "immigrants" from Poland here in Åsele who have come here to earn money and support their families back home.

I completely agree with Ama! You have visited so many countries during your tour of Europe and given so many tips and info that it is probably quite "natural" that your posts are so well visited.
As for the countries, they are no surprise to me. Except perhaps that France is so far down and that Albania is so far up. On the other hand, Albania is not a country that you know so much about. And you have definitely changed that:-)

Albania seems quite "hot" now, not least when new flights are opened directly to Tirana. Then it may be due to the "competition" on Google as well. There may be more information about France than about Albania, so perhaps there is a greater chance that people will end up with us when they google something about Albania.

Yes, that would be interesting! Good idea! Purely spontaneously, I think it will correlate to some extent and to some extent not. On the one hand, it may be that some who search with us are travelling with a motorhome (possibly not exactly the same destination as flight bookings) and then there is that competition on Google. I think, for example, that we get many hits on Albania because there is not as much written about Albania on the web as about e.g. Italy. But these are guesses, it would be interesting to check!

Very wise question! 🙂 It's based on individual posts and pages, for the simple reason that it would have been too much work to add it all up... However, I've made a small "reasonableness judgement" by reviewing the situation. Croatia would undoubtedly be in first place no matter how we count, so to speak 😉.
