We hadn't planned to go to Helsinki at all, but yesterday we decided and booked flight tickets. Why this? Well, the big travel fair Matka is going on now and over the weekend. We hadn't really planned to go there, but then we couldn't resist... And there's a motorhome fair at the same time!
Table of contents
The Matka travel fair
The Matka travel fair is the largest travel fair in Northern Europe and we were here in 2016. We met lots of exhibitors in the travel industry and we also went to a blog event in the Turku archipelago in connection with the fair. Here we got to experience everything from mat and delicacies to art and paddle fishing. Very exciting and interesting!
Matka 2018
We had no intention of going to Helsinki and Matka this year, but then we got emails from one partner after another ... "See you at Matka?" Seriously, Helsinki isn't that far away. Said and done, a few hours later we had booked both a flight ticket and a hotel night. Helsinki, here we come!
Caravan fair
At the same time as the big travel fair Matka, there is actually a motorhome and caravan fair called Caravan. All the information about the Matka fair is in English, but the information about Caravan is only in Finnish... So we don't know what to expect, but it's exciting! Is there anything special you want us to look out for...?
