Icha icha has quality fast food, finally! It's an art to combine vegetables and sauces with meat or fish so that it tastes really good, or offers a wow feeling. It may sound easy, because every restaurant has it, but to get all the flavours to a whole with simple means and local products, it is damn difficult. Icha Icha has succeeded!

Invitation to events
Four 'towers' have now been built on the old food court by the long-distance trains in the north hall of Stockholm Central Station. These will offer a range of small-scale food and confectionery products, as well as fast food. Who isn't in a hurry these days? "There was an inauguration last Thursday at the centre and I (Peter) was invited, and I'm very happy about it. The fast food restaurant Icha Icha stands out in my taste buds.
Four fast food restaurants
Who are these four fast food outlets that will give us an experience in the Central Station? These are not newbies, but they understand how food can be made delicious in a very short time, complemented by coffee and a little sweet. Maybe something for all schools that need to rethink food?
Wiggos Wraps
Wiggos is already available at Stureplan, Fridhemsplan, Hornstull and Skånegatan in Stockholm. Here you can make your own wraps that suit you, with local products and absolutely no semi-finished products. You can order for the mingle or for where you are sunbathing, or perhaps for lunch with a bike messenger in Stockholm. Right on time and suitable for everyone! Tasty in tasty tasty!
Urban Deli
Urban Deli is located on Sveavägen, Nytorget and Sickla in Stockholm. Here you will find a grocery store, market hall, restaurant, café and bar under the same roof. The concept is organic and there is now a small Urban Deli at Centralen as one of the four new restaurants. Good? They are always classy!
The fat cat
How nice that The fat cat show off a little more! Let's talk culture and history because they have 80 years of quality and traditions with their pastries. The café on Kungsgatan has been a part of Stockholm ever since Per-Albin Hansson's time, and now they get to show off at the central station in Stockholm.
Icha icha
Icha icha was my favourite of the four! But what does Icha icha mean? It's not easy to translate, but when you google it, you'll find explanations like "to hold on" (with something sensual in mind) or maybe to flirt. And yes, why not?
Icha icha already has three restaurants in Stockholm located in Kista Galleria, Mall of Scandinavia and Mood Stockholm behind NK. Now there is also a small Icha icha in the city centre.
The menu at Icha icha
You start with vegetables, which are the first base, and then there are three choices: rice, noodles or shredded courgettes. After that, you pick whether you want Swedish farm chicken, low-temperature pork side from Vårgårda, Norwegian salmon or pink highland strip steak from Scotland.
The sauces are cooked every day and are magical, I can say after tasting them. My favourite was the pork side from Vårgårda which has a long cooking time on low heat. It gets a wonderfully burnt grill surface by cooking it on high heat the last minute before the meat is ready. You know I'm not a meat lover, but this was a hit.
Calories
All of you who have missed knowing how many calories we put into our bodies can now find it directly on the menu. I've been wondering for years why all restaurants don't provide information on what you eat every day. McDonald's was the first to do this, and now there will be more. This was super tasty and quick and I really recommend this. You have succeeded Icha icha!

Interesting, will certainly be a visit next Stockholm trip. Good to indicate calories, too bad more people don't do it.

Hello there! Haha, well what does that sound like? Good it is and it should be tried. A good Saturday for us is work and I think we will go crazy soon, but we only have two years left until we are done with all the updates....

It's nice now that Centralen is getting some new additions on the food side. Much needed. Have tested them in other places in the city and all are good.

Peter says:
I love that you are everywhere Ditte and you are already a legend with us! It's good food and that's what you should do everywhere.

What a fun concept! It sounded really good and I like that menu with few choices but many variations.
Damn, now I'm really hungry! Time to stop lounging and put down the wine glass here in the sunshine, time to fire up the grill!

Peter says:
Haha, I'm writing to you now and way too late with a glass of wine in my hand. We work and work. It will be fun to hear what you think of the food.

Great to have four new places in the centre. Agree with you that Icha Icha is the most attractive even for me.
I see that the restaurant now shows both calories and price. I can buy that, but only calories without price as on the website is annoying to me. Just as you write, McDonald's started with it, as their food was/is considered junk food. The company wanted to change that. I don't think they managed to get rid of the "junk food" label, at least not for most adults. Icha Icha actually plays in a completely different division, so to speak.

Many times we think that the food in Eastern European countries is so good that we are ashamed of what we serve on the E4 motorway. I hope that we Swedes can understand that good fast food can be made. This was really good!

Only British says:
In England, the calorie content is often listed on the menus of everyday restaurants and chains (although I prefer to count carbohydrates).
The slow-cooked pork sounds right up my alley and being able to choose zucchini, perfect.

Peter says:
Hello there and glad you are writing. I can only agree and I think Sweden is on the right track. We want to choose what we put in us!

Soooo good! Always choose Icha Icha when I 'have' to eat at the centre. Today I ate according to the least amount of calories and seasoned with extra fresh coriander and chilli. Fantastically good. Completely sold on their concept and good food! Mummy for the tongue, eyes and body!
