It's finally time for our trip: The Grand Freedom Europe Tour. For two months we will be travelling with the motorhome in Europe. It's hard to believe that it's time to leave, but today we are actually heading south. Great! Hope you'll "join us" on this journey!

Grand Freedom Europe Tour - what is it? Haha, it's simply the summer motorhome tour! We realised it should have a name, so why not? The journey will go through seven countriesand we have targeted around 45 different destinations, so this will be interesting. We start by travelling down to the south of Sweden, and then there will be a ferry from Trelleborg to Rostock.

Are we ready?
We were just in Northern Norway, and then I have had a few days to work, and now we are apparently going on a long trip. Here it goes fast! Peter has fixed the motorhome earlier and last night we rolled out clothes with the help of suitcases, so we are probably reasonably prepared, we hope.
How is the group trip to Istria and Slovenia going?
We know that many of you are waiting to hear about group trip to Istria and Sloveniain cooperation with Resia. The flights are booked and the programme is reasonably well planned, but to put the final details together, some people from various tourist offices need to come back from leave and travel.
We want to post the competition (where you can win two free tickets) as soon as possible, but we can't do that until we know the exact price of the trip. So stay tuned, there will be more info soon. And for those of you who have already registered your interest via email or blog - we'll contact you as soon as we know more.

Oops, you are travelling down and we are on our way home. I'm currently at the Italian/Austrian border and in a few hours will drive over Garmisch Partenkirchen and then on to Rostock. We might meet somewhere along the way. Hope you have a good trip down regardless of where it goes.

We ourselves are still partly in our European trip as we came home with 4000 cards that we take a moment every other night to sort and edit a little. It is fun to get them before the next trip.

It will be so much fun to follow you, as always. But I wonder, why don't you have bikes with you? (I have not seen any) We think that the combination of motorhome and bicycle is absolutely fantastic, exercise of course but you also get so easily to places nearby. Good luck, maybe we'll see you?

Glad you want to follow us Christina! We have thought about a bicycle, but have neither space nor weight to spare. Have also looked at folding lightweight bikes, but it is also a cost issue for us. So far we have managed well by combining walks with buses and other public transport, so we will continue with that for a while 😉.

We have sold the motorhome and are concentrating on Crete at the moment, but what is absolutely certain is that we will have a new motorhome in a few years.
We are definitely not done with that life.

Oh so much fun! Bon Voyage! Really looking forward to following the trip and reading about your various experiences of now in the beginning e.g. Autobahn where it is said to be even more traffic jams than before? Plus of course how it will be when you approach our areas. It would really be SO FUN if you wanted to come here on the way to the golden islands. We have a "pitch" outside in the greenery and within walking distance to us with apéro/rosé and dinner on the terrace or in our charming medieval village, Have you read about btw Les beaux de Provence and the illuminated limestone caves? This year it is Picasso and it is an experience for life, we can promise!
