Trip in cooperation with Resia

In case you haven't kept up, we can tell you that we are planning a group trip to Slovenia and Istria, together with Resia. The readers of this blog have voted for the destination and we tailor a trip to suit the needs of those who like to follow our blog.

The journey will take place on 6-13 October and both we and Margareta Hallin from Resia are joining us. Two people will win a ticket each and the other 20 tickets will be sold at a favourable price, via Resia.

Planning is in full swing

Planning is in full swing, even if it hasn't gone as fast as we might have hoped. When Peter was out on Ringsö and worked it was simply difficult to find the time ... Now he has discussed the organisation of the trip with the Croatian Tourist Board, the Slovenian Tourist Board and Resia.

Now a rough travel plan has been made and Resia has also bought 25 airline tickets! The flight will take us to Zagreb, and we will then stay in hotels in two different locations. To get around, we will be travelling on a chartered bus.

What is on the programme?

The programme isn't set in stone yet, but suggestions include the turn-of-the-century town of Opatija, a truffle lunch and winery, the amphitheatre in Pula, a boat trip to the island of Brijuni (where Tito had his summer home), the charming towns of Rovinj and Porec, Lake Bled in Slovenia and the Postojna Cave. Not bad, right?

Would you like to join us?

We had hoped to have everything ready for the trip this week, but we have to wait until after midsummer. We have to nail down all parts of the programme, get a prize from Resia and agree on the rules for the competition. As soon as it is ready, we will post all the information here on the blog.

If you already think you want to join us, you can send us an email. As soon as we have finalised the booking and competition, we will contact you by email, so you have the chance to sign up even before we post the trip on the blog. Then it will be first come, first served, so to speak. We are really looking forward to this trip and hope you want to join us!
