Finally, it's time for Happy Friday friends! We are home in Sweden again, and even though we love travelling, it is also a bit nice to be home. However, we won't be at home in the houseboat for too long, because this weekend we are rolling down to the Elmia Husvagn Husbil fair!
More fish on our plates!
One thing that didn't turn out so great during the summer was the campervan trip around Europe was the food service. We had such a hectic schedule that sometimes cookies and ice cream were used instead of lunch. A combination of lack of time and some fridge problems also meant that we spent limited time on cooking. There wasn't much fish as usual, which is what we really wanted. love.
This little mistake is something we are trying to make up for now that we are home. One of the first meals in the houseboat was... oysterand then we had tuna, salmon burgers and halibut.
Video films from our trip
For several Fridays in a row, we're posting films from our 2018 motorhome trip that we never got around to showing. We start with a film from beautiful Lucerne in Switzerland. Don't forget to switch on the sound!
Elmia Caravan Motorhome 2018
Sweden's largest trade fair for mobile life, Scandinavian Caravan Show, has already started and will continue throughout the weekend. We haven't been able to go down to the start of the fair (because I, Helena, am working), but we're heading down later this afternoon! Are you also at the fair or are you on your way there? Hope you'll come up and say hello if you see us!
What has been the best part of your week? Tell me!

"Right now we are on our way to Jönköping and Elmia. It would have been fun to meet, but there will be more opportunities.
We have also had refrigerator problems on gas, but this week Lars swept the burner so now it is cold again.
Fish is our favourite food too. Yesterday, we bought lubb in the fish counter to be enjoyed tonight.
Have a great weekend at Elmia!

Are you only staying for one day at Elmia? Otherwise, maybe we'll see you! 🙂 Glad that your fridge problem is solved! Ours works well, until it gets too hot outside ... Good with lubb! 🙂

It's good to get your diet in order. It is important. Fish is a favourite here too.

Have a good time at the fair this weekend then 🙂 .
The best thing this week has probably been that I am finally starting to be able to travel on small trips in the local area, travelling and looking around always makes life happier 😀.
Have a very happy Friday!

There is no such thing as too much fish. The owners try to eat it at least once a week.
Hope to see you, the owners are looking out for you and FREEDOM.

I'm glad you also like fish! We have a good shop with good prices so Peter usually buys for several dinners at once and freezes. And then it will be fish quite often 🙂

So it wasn't exactly a holiday you had for two months;-) The feast with oysters - yummy! The halibut looked heavenly delicious too. Good that you can eat now;-)
So, you're off to Elmia again. How do you cope?

Helena says:
It depends on how you define holiday 😉 The trip was fantastic fun, but it was also intense and a lot of work with writing (not only for the blog but also for magazines). And yes haha, we had intended to skip Elmia, but it attracted too much 😉.

I can imagine that the food was sometimes difficult during the trip. At least unevenly. The Lucerne film is really nice and some of it I recognise. Lucerne is, like many other Swiss cities, very nice. The location is great. The best part of the week was my visit to Sandhamn. So delicious.
Wishing you a nice trip to Elmia and a "food useful" visit.
