The Senior Fair is currently underway in Stockholm and this year's fair has a strong focus on travelling. Peter noticed this when he visited the fair yesterday. Today we can report on all sorts of exciting travel destinations. And it's not too late if you want to visit the fair - it's open all day today!

Senior Fair in Stockholm
The senior citizens' fair is organised every year in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. Right now, on 2-4 October 2018, it is time for the Senior Fair in Stockholm. In March and April next year there will be fairs in Gothenburg and Malmö respectively.
According to the fair's website, this fair is aimed at seniors who want to live an active life and are interested in travel, health, beauty, culture, housing, finance, technology, healthcare, shopping or experiences.
Peter took the opportunity to have a chat with Leon Giannaridis, the project manager for the fair in Stockholm. He told us that the fair in Stockholm has 255 exhibitors (compared to 150 in Gothenburg) and that 80 of these have a focus on travel. Of these in turn, 13 focus on international travel. In other words, the Senior Fair can almost be seen as a small travel fair!
Exciting exhibitors
There were many interesting exhibitors, and of course Peter focused on travel. He met many acquaintances, and also looked at a lot of exciting destinations. Among other things, he met Alexandra Valletta from the Malta Tourist Board, whom we have previously cooperated with and met in Malta. By the way, we must say that Malta is a fantastic destination!
Sri Lanka
Of course, the presence of Sri Lanka was particularly pleasing, since we are going there over Christmas and New Year. Peter took the opportunity to talk to them, and we will have more contact before our trip. We want the best tips of course!
What else is happening at the fair?
Today, Thursday, is the last day the fair is open. The fair, organised at Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö, opens at 9:30 and closes at 16:00. Have you been to the fair or are you thinking of going?

Hehe, I think seniors can be counted from about 55 and up 😉 But we would have liked to go there anyway because we wanted to meet some of the exhibitors and write about the fair 🙂.

We also like fairs. There is always something fun to look at or speakers to listen to.
At the moment, time is a limiting factor.

Thank you for this report. Should have been there but Spain is quite ok too. And always fun to see what is included. A lot of it is.

Even though I definitely belong to the "senior" category, I usually hesitate to go there. But what you told me was also something for young people or people under 55;-)
