Aeroflot has recently premiered its daily route between Moscow and Göteborg Landvetter Airport, reports TravelNews. This is the first direct route opened by the Russian airline from a regional airport in Scandinavia. In a survey conducted by NOVUS on behalf of TUI, over a thousand Swedes were asked what they could not do without on a holiday abroad. Wild vertebrates decline dramatically

The WWF Living Planet Report 2018 shows that wild vertebrate populations have declined by 60 per cent since 1970. At this rate, two-thirds of the world's mammal, fish, bird, amphibian and reptile populations are at risk of disappearing in just a few years. Few are aware of the threats to wildlife and nature, and a new Sifo survey commissioned by WWF shows that 7 out of 10 Swedes underestimate the loss of biodiversity.

Hurtigruten bans all single-use plastics

Norwegian shipping company Hurtigruten is banning all single-use plastics on its ships to protect the environment. They are the first company in the country to remove all unnecessary single-use plastics from their ships, from plastic bags and cutlery to disposable packaging and straws. In practical terms, this means an annual reduction of several tonnes of plastic on Hurtigruten's ships.
