It was Friday again, and in Sweden it has become really dark outside. We have brightened up our week with the opening of a photo exhibition at Eataly Stockholm, and Peter has finally got himself a more sensible office corner. Not bad at all. Now we would like to hear what has been the best part of your week, big or small!

Photo exhibition at Eataly
At the beginning of the week we were invited to the opening of the photo exhibition "Livet leker", presented by the Italian National Tourist Board. The exhibition is on display on the second floor of Eataly Stockholm, on Biblioteksgatan. We haven't actually been to Eataly before, although we've read a bit about it on blogs since it opened earlier this year.
In the old premises of the historic cinema Röda Kvarn you will find a lovely open space with restaurants, bars, cafés and a food market. There are plenty of Italian delicacies, cheeses, charcuterie, seafood ... you name it! In addition, the place is incredibly beautiful, it is really a delight to walk around here.
The photo exhibition "Italy - Life plays"
The photo exhibition features photos from Italy from five different photographers. One of them is Jeanette Seflin, who we know from the world of blogging as she also runs a great photo and travel blog. Jeanette Seflin.
The photo exhibition is open until 30 November, and the exhibition also gives you the chance to win a trip to Rome for you and a friend. Simply email the number of your favourite photo to the Italian Tourist Office. More info on the competition will of course be available on site!
New office corner
Peter has not only had pain in his knees lately, but also in his back. One reason is probably that he has been sitting day in and day out working in front of his desk on a bar stool... So we get it, not good! Now he's finally got around to getting a desk chair and lowering the height of his desk. And his back is already better, so it's probably the best thing of the week!
Don't forget!
Do you think November is dark and dreary? Take a look at our Big November list, where we share our best autumn tips. If you have a blog - feel free to join in and make a list too! Also, don't forget to share all your favourite dialectal words and expressions you've heard throughout your life. Next Sunday we'll bring it all together in one big dialect post!

Role o Carina says:
Yes, it is important to sit well in front of the computer for long periods of time!
The best thing is that I have started my training again,
It makes you feel so much better in both body and mind.
Have a nice weekend on your.....

Emma, sun like sun? says:
Can't believe my back was screaming in the end! A bar stool ... *shakes head*.
Eataly, what an absolutely fantastic place it looks like, feels like you should glide around there in an evening dress (you have a nice one, Helena!) with a glass in your hand.
It's a bit difficult to find sweets this week, the son has been home sick so ... But I'll think of something!

Helena says:
I know, sooo stupid with a bar stool! Did not think we would sit there so much but ... yes, better now! Nice weekend!

Ama de casa says:
Wow! Had no idea that the cinema Röda Kvarn itself was closed. But they seem to have done really nice and preserved the spirit in there anyway ðŸ™'
How clever of Peter to address the work environment. Heavenly important when you sit for a long time in front of the computer.
The best thing in the week was probably yesterday: Survived tandis, it was a reasonably sunny day even though it was supposed to rain, I got a parisare (not quite in the original version, but very good anyway) and last but not least, the tapas march started again. You can definitely have a worse Thursday 😀
16 November 2018 - 11:04
Helena says:
Great to hear about all the positive fun! You are really worth it after all the misery. Hugs and wishes for a nice weekend!

Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
What a nice place Eataly looks like.
It became another great tip to visit during any Stockholm trip.
Peter upgrading his workplace was not a day too soon!
At work, everyone has tried out their own chairs, which are adjusted according to their own conditions; very important!
The best part of the week is probably the whole week; what we have seen so far of the Yucatan is awesome and has made me really interested in the incredible Mayan people.
16 November 2018 - 12:33
Helena says:
Eataly was super nice, must return there on occasion! 🙂 So good that you have chairs that are tested properly, it is absolutely true that it is important when you sit for a long time! And oh what a lot of exciting things you experience, will of course look into your blog! 🙂

Ditte says:
What a nice exhibition and the environment here is superb. Have been here one evening and eaten and it was great. Will try to see the exhibition when I get home. Now, unfortunately, it did not suit me to come because I am in Spain.
It's great that Peter's back has improved and it's so important to have an ergonomic work environment at home too.
Best here? Excursions, tapas tasting, job planning and meeting with friends. Also sunny and around +20.

Helena says:
It sounds like you are having a great time, and nice autumn weather too! Wish you a nice weekend! 🙂
16 November 2018 - 18:56
Mr Nils-Åke Hansson says:
What a nice corner Peter has now chair you would have bought much earlier. An ergonomically correct sitting position is important and healthy for the back.
16 November 2018 - 15:59
Helena says:
Yes he definitely should have gotten this earlier, but better late than never 😉.

Maria / Magnolia Magis says:
What a great tip about Italian food! I will actually pass that on!
A good sitting position does wonders for sore backs, even a good standing bench! We have plans to rebuild inside the caravan so we / I get an office corner where I can stand with the computer. It is true that when you get up to 50+ you have to start thinking about such things....;D Yes it was a dick! I will be 50 and the husband is 62... Only you are young Helena!
Now, I'm going to make the November list for MagnoliaMagis and then some anecdotes, or whatever it's called, about dialects for you!
Our best thing this week? That I came home to my husband after surgery, that the daughter was here and slept over and we were watching MammaMia 2...
Have a nice weekend!
16 November 2018 - 17:30
Helena says:
It is clear that it is important to have a good working position, absolutely true! Maybe you are lazy and do not think about it for the longest time 😉 What fun that you hang on the November list and dialects! 🙂 Nice weekend!

BP says:
Eataly is amazingly beautiful. What an environment! WOW! And it's right in the middle of the action and close to Stureplan. That place will surely become much more popular than the cinema was at the end.
The office corner became really nice and necessary, not only for the back;-)
16 November 2018 - 20:25
Helena says:
I can imagine that Eataly is popular, very nice! 🙂

Then you could say that it is lucky that Peter has left the bar now?

Then you could say that it is good that Peter has left the bar now?
17 November 2018 - 10:04
Helena says:
Yes haha, you could say that 😉

Lena - good for the soul says:
Yes, I saw that Jeanette would have an exhibition there. We happen to be in Sthlm the weekend of 30/11, so maybe we can make it. Would be fun to see and Eataly I have never been to. Then it would not be wrong with a small travel win 🙂 ðŸ™'
