Today it's all about cool new technology 2018-2019! Peter went to an event this week and came home slightly euphoric. "This thing can do this and this and this" (I don't even remember everything, but it was a lot!). Then he's gone and ordered another tech gadget too... We'll let him tell you all about it!

Peter
Hello there! It's been a while since I've been in text. You probably realise that there is a lot going on around the blog, and I don't actually have time to write as often as I would like. We are in the process of determining the new design and it will be much easier to find on FREEDOM. I'm also working on new blog pages about how they should look, content, and many meetings about where we should be every month in 2019.
The week that was
Sunday morning I could barely bend my knees again and got tired. We started again and trained with Tap Out with kicks and punches, and lo and behold it helped ... but I took it very easy because it was 6 months ago.
Monday (water to good food, no hit) I got horns in my forehead and did not hold back so much and stretched my back of course in a stroke movement. Back to tablets, good food and wine, haha. Last night we did Tap Out Yoga (strength-yoga-Stretch in one) and now it's good again. I turn 34 next year, right? 🙂
Huawei Mate 20 Pro
I was at an event about the brand that you barely know how to pronounce... Huawei. It's been a long time since I was so impressed by a phone. It's as big as my iPhone 6 plus, but it feels much smaller because it has no shell around it, just a screen.
The phone has three lenses that help each other, and in a photo it picks up to 10 points that should have their own sharpness to make the whole photo better. Darkness photos are much better than my camera. The phone has a wide angle, telephoto zoom and macro in one. It has the best battery life on the market, it can withstand -35 degrees and you can control it with gloves on.
It has inbuilt AI to give you the best possible info. I held it against my broccoli on my plate, and the phone told me what it was and how much it weighed. I held it in front of a painting and the phone told me who it was.
We tried a menu in Arabic and it translated the whole menu in 3 seconds. It can also charge other products in reverse. I put the phone on the table and my Iphone on it and it started charging by this Huauiorwei or whatever it is called.
I am impressed! There will be no change right now but I will think about it next time. Huawei is huge in Asian countries but hasn't hit Europe, but now we're letting it go. Those of you who think I got the 360 camera from Nikon should know that they got it back.
They are not allowed to give away products, but to lend them for 6 months. I have today ordered a new technology gadget that you will have to wait a bit to hear about. It will arrive in Sweden in 14 days, and I have bought one of the first ones that I think will be a big hit.
Journeys in progress
We've been home for quite some time now (considering we have a travel blog), but soon it's time for us to travel again! Next week we are going to Brussels and a little later in December it is time for our long-awaited trip to Sri Lanka. Now it also looks like we will be travelling to Åre in February. We will tell you more soon!
The best thing from our week is probably all the cool new technology! At least if you ask Peter... What has been the best part of your week?

I often see Huawei in the shops here so I guess they work well in Spain. In fact, we have also stood and squeezed them when it was time to change phones but did not really dare because such an unknown phone can not be good? And not at that price. There must be something wrong with it ... And then you buy a Motorola instead!
It's been a really shitty week here with deliveries being lost and all, so right now we're feeling a bit down. But the sun has been shining and I've been sitting with my face turned towards it for a while every day. It's wonderful.

Hello! I've been thinking the same thing: why should you buy a phone that you know nothing about? We are so impressionable because there are several brands that have succeeded with their brands. This is typical of the US to sell a security and then we think it's the best. I have my thoughts on it next time. Good thing the sun shines when you don't think life is working, but life goes up and down.

I pointed this out about Huawei to my husband recently and he said something about it getting a lot of shit and being called a spy phone, that the Chinese put in something that tracks everything you do with it and sends it to the Chinese. It feels like that ... if it's even true. But on the other hand, all computers do that, sending a lot back to the manufacturer that you have no idea about. The problem is that in China it doesn't stay with the manufacturer but the state takes part of it. Or maybe I've fallen for too much propaganda.
I think it's a little creepy when you get an email from Google and there on a map you can see exactly how I have moved during the month, how far I have driven a car, how long I have been in the car, etc. Not only big brother who sees you, everyone can see you!

Oh yes, the pronunciation! I get so damn curious about things ... 😀.
Found this:
Pronunciation, as explained to Americans: Hwah-way
Major discussions on whether to pronounce the initial H or not.
Hua means China, Wei means Accomplish

That technology... I'm sure it's great, but I don't understand anything. I don't want to say that I'm completely uninterested. Well, yes. I probably am 😀 Do not take on new technology until it is stuck under my nose with force and then my comment is usually "I am happy with the computer / mobile / camera that I have". Haha! If I had to decide for myself, I would probably still have film in my camera. ONE time I bought a new, super good camera. Super good in my opinion, that is. It was a super-8 camera... Just when everyone was getting video cameras... Yeah. I've always been good at keeping up with the technical stuff 😀.
But I realise that you are absolutely right about one thing. I know that we were born in the same year, so sure - you'll be 34 next year 😀.
Have a happy Friday!

How nice that you agree with AMA! Now it feels very good mentally... Helena was the same and told me that she wants to keep her old one because it sucks to learn a new one. I then bought two iPhones of the same kind and showed her how everything worked without her reading any actual manual. Now she doesn't want another one ever, haha, so now it's time to switch...
Helena is working on the new post for tomorrow and now I have been sitting on my office chair since eight this morning, and now it is eight o'clock. It's stormy, dark and rainy. I'm still sitting!
Have a nice evening!

Constantly 34!!! I oscillate between 12 and 84... ;D I'm not going to show this post to my husband because then he'll rush off to check the new phone. The technology nerd... But it does seem cool! Our best of the week? I have passed the 50 mark and survived. Right now I'm probably 34 as well... More energetic than in a long time. Have a good weekend!

How wonderful to feel that way! I'm very alert when I'm up but if I fall asleep I never want to get up, which is strange. Of course he should see what is on the market and now you have a "Mission". You know more than he does and use that as an advantage and mess with him, haha.
Nice evening.

My colleague has one and when he showed it to me, I had no idea about the brand name, which I had completely missed. But now I recognise it. So nice to have two trips to look forward to.
Happy Friday!

Hi Znogge! It's not so fun with Sweden this time and getting power somewhere is just good for the soul. The phone is super I think and why not have one that you can't pronounce, haha.
Have a nice evening!

It is said that the only difference between small and big boys' toys is the price????
We also have someone who is obsessed with mobile phones (and especially their cameras, even though he has three cameras). Right now it's a new monitor for one of the computers that is in the sphere of interest.....
The best thing this week (besides our wonderful trip) is probably the gym cards we bought when we came home from our holiday. Now we just have to use them too!
Hope Peter's knees and back are doing well!

Sure, we men are crazy about technology, but it's also good to keep up with technology that we are so dependent on. Of course you should go to the gym! It's very important that we move, especially after 50.
Have a nice evening and greetings!

I think I would need one of those phones, what if I were to lose myself in my old age, then the phone could help me figure out who I am - right?
Good week, only worked 2 days this week but damn how long travelling routes are sometimes. Although not today, only to Katrineholm but it takes on the forces anyway.
Have a nice weekend!

Peter says:
Haha Kenneth! Now the phone got even better! Super good argument to buy it haha.
When it comes to travelling, we should not push ourselves forward but find things to do along the way. Sightseeing, an ice cream, a coffee, or something to do to make it more fun. It's not fun anymore to push yourself.
Bye Kenneth!

Like Peter, I have trouble understanding how Huawei is pronounced. Because the funny thing is that the company is currently running an advertising campaign model XXL on BBC, and then the phone is not pronounced as in Sweden. Confusing;-)
A friend of mine bought one of these or similar phones from Huawei in August and was also lyrical about the camera functions. No one seems to care if it works as a phone;-)
I have an even older iPhone than Peter (5S), but I wonder if I want to learn Android, which has little in common with the iPhone. I am slightly older than Peter;-)
PS. Huawei is on the rise in Sweden as well, big time. Great, so Apple and Samsung get some competition. DS.

Hello BP! It's been a long time. It was great fun to play with a loaner phone from Huawei (I had to scroll up to find out what it was called). I think all phones work almost the same and it was easy to understand even Android. I have a friend who was in China for a meeting, and when he was sitting in the restaurant at the airport, he pointed to a lamp he rumoured was nice. The Chinese guy picked up his phone and held it at a distance, and suddenly he had the name of the lamp, and he asked if my friend wanted to order it right away. Totally crazy but still cool I think. I have a new toy coming to Sweden soon and it is the DJI Osmo Pocket. Check it out online and it is just awesome. I will do a review on the first weekend I have it. New fun stuff in my box.
Goodbye BP

My male owner can never have too much technology. The latest thing my male owner has bought is probably indirectly a thing for me, a bluetooth speaker from Bose that the owners should have when they are out with me.
My owners are probably too lazy to change systems. Now they have everything in Apple so they are reluctant to change operating systems, but who knows in the future because there will be completely new technology that is exciting.
Have a nice Friday evening and weekend!

My Thai phone is a Huawei. A cheap one, but it takes much better pictures than my iPhone 7.
There are many settings that are different, but with small steps you can do it. I am happy with it so far!
