Need Christmas gift ideas for the motorhome traveller or camper? We've stumbled across some clever and fun gadgets for the motorhome traveller, so we decided to do a post on Christmas gift ideas. Do you have any other tips to share?
Table of contents
1. Motorhome book
Do you know someone who has recently bought a motorhome for the first time? We previously wrote a review of The motorhome book - for motorhome beginners. Here, the new motorhome owner will find information on all the initial questions. What is grey water? Where to spend the night? How do you get fresh water? You can, for example, go to Bokus.
2. A camper van mug
What do you buy for the motorhome owner who has everything? A campervan mug perhaps? This mug can be found on Presentmarknaden.se.
3. Subscription to a motorhome magazine
Why not give away a subscription to a motorhome magazine? Motorhome & Caravan costs SEK 619 for 10 issues, while Allt om husvagn och camping costs SEK 869 for 13 issues, Motorhome Test costs 599 SEK for 10 issues and My Motorhome costs SEK 299 for 6 issues (note that all motorhome owners with vehicles of model year 2009 or later receive the magazine Min Husbil for free).
4. Snuff box with campervan motif
Do you know a campervan driver who sniffs? Then the perfect gift must be a snuff box with a motorhome motif! The snuff box is available at Medgravyr.se. The snuff box is made of aluminium and is available in gold, silver or black.
5. Stylish melamine plates
Maybe you know someone who needs to spruce up their motorhome kitchen with new melamine crockery, or perhaps some new bowls? We think the website fromitaly.se has some great melamine products. There are also melamine crockery at Semona.se and KAMA Fritid, for example.
6. gourmet scratch map
Do you know someone who likes to try different culinary specialities while travelling around Europe in their motorhome? Then the "Gourmet Scratch Map" is for him/her! Once the owner of the map has tried pirogi in Poland, crêpes in France or wiener schnitzel in Austria - it's time to scratch! The map is available on Coolstuff.
7. toy car
Sometimes gifts for the kids are enough, and you have to start on time, right? BR Leksaker has a Greta Gris camper van and Campout.se has a nine-piece camping set.
8. an experience
Sometimes it is most fun to give away an experience! Maybe something you can do together during a motorhome trip? An experience could be a restaurant visit, a wine tasting, a day at the spa, a visit to the theatre or something more active like riding an Icelandic horse, kayaking or even a helicopter ride.
9. A gift that saves lives
Do you know someone who doesn't really need anything? Spend the money on something useful and give a gift voucher! At Unicef for example, you can give away a vaccine package (€133), a disaster package (€215) or a famine package (€400).
Bonus: More Christmas gift tips for the motorhome traveller or camper.
Since publishing this post, we've had the chance to help develop a range of products that make perfect Christmas gifts for the motorhome traveller or camper.

Smart things you mention.
In our case, I'm going to give the owners a motorhome app that keeps track of all sorts of strange facts such as diesel and its consumption, how far I've travelled, how high above sea level, etc. Nerdy but my male owner especially likes it because he can pick out a lot of statistics....
When you mention newspapers, I recommend the Readly app, which includes many of the ones you mention, as well as a lot of other newspapers.
Or why not 'camping cheques' or 'pitch cheques'?

Enjoy the app! What is it called? Also smart with Readly, where you can read many newspapers, and good tips with the cheques! 🙂

The plates were nice and Lego of course if you have children. The gift that saves lives is also a good idea.

Lego is still going strong! 🙂

How cute you are as elves! 😉 I usually invest in experiences, home-baked / sewn / photographed (the children received a photo book of all their Christmas evenings) or as last year when everyone received a UNICEF aid package. We got ourselves a spa package last Christmas and it is one of the best gifts!!! Husiblog's tip was a good idea for the husband who is a statistics nerd!

I also like experiences, both to give and to get! Homemade I like to get ... but not good at making myself, haha 😉 .

What kind of home baking do you like? Bread, cookies, soft cakes, wheat bread, cake....? I've worked two summers baking in a café so it's a big hobby. There isn't much in the motorhome, but there have been apple cake, caramel cakes and morning rolls. Then neither me nor the husband will eat so much of that...;D

Helena says:
Yes .... I love good bread actually! But certainly also cakes and buns, and for example apple cake as you mention can be good sometimes 🙂 .

Readly has already been mentioned, so why not the Campercontact app or pitch books from
Vicarious Media in England. Great little handy placeholder books.

Helena says:
We don't have those particular pitch books, thanks for the tips! And agree that CamperContact is good, we use it all the time 🙂.
