Here comes the Great November List! Now it's really dark and muggy in Sweden, and you need to find the best ways to cheer yourself up in different ways. Here are our best tips. Now we hope to get your best tips on the same points! Write in a comment, or write your own blog post if you have a blog. Feel free to tell us where you found the list!
Table of contents
1. best soup
Soup is soooo good when it's cold outside! We like a lot of soups, but our favourite is seafood soup with saffron. We start with a ready-made base and add fish, seafood, vegetables and spices.
2. Best autumn dinner
We like both hearty stews and delicious fish gratins, but our favourite in the autumn is still whole crab with courtmaster sauce. Sooo luxurious and delicious!
3. Most luxurious evening snacks
After our days in Belgium this summer we got some Belgian chocolate with us. Mmmm, both luxurious and delicious!
4. favourite book
Unfortunately, we haven't had any time to read. However, I (Helena) am keen on X: The Last Place, by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
5. most exciting TV series
We are currently watching the TV series The Americans, which is about a suburban American family who happen to be... Russian spies. The show has grown over time and there are many episodes. Perfect relaxation!
6. The highlight film
We haven't watched any films this autumn, only TV series. Feel free to tell us!
7. Greatest blog
I like to read a lot of different blogs and really haven't and favourite. However, it might be appropriate to mention some of the many great new camping or motorhome blogs that have popped up in the last year(s): Living in a mobile home, Magnolia Magis, M/F Solsken, Reiselinda and bm.lars.travelblog.
8. funniest game
So ... no idea? Tell us!
9. best 'treat'
One thing we haven't indulged in for a long time, but would love to treat ourselves to, is sushi. Our favourite is in Bromma. Perhaps Stocthe best sushi in kholm?
10. most enjoyable cultural experience
If you like history, we can highly recommend both the Viking life and Museum of the Middle Ages in Stockholm. Both places offer interesting history in an accessible way!
11. most inspiring training
Right now we (unfortunately) do not exercise at all, but we walk every day, to and from my job. Walking outside, during the light hours, is our best tip right now!
12. The smartest way to stay energised
We have not come up with this. We're kind of tired all the time ... We eat fresh fruit (preferably grapefruit) in our yoghurt every morning and nibble on some extra vitamin D. Maybe that helps ... a little bit?
13. most fun shopping
It's actually really fun to do everyday food shopping when you have access to such a store as The world of food. Otherwise, we are looking for bags and shoes for our winter trip to Sri Lanka, and that's fun!
14. Best autumn trip (Sweden)
Last autumn we made some nice autumn trips with the motorhome in Sweden, among other things to Västerås and to Femöre in Oxelösund.
15. Best autumn trip (Europe)
There are so many great places to visit in Europe in autumn, it's hard to choose. Why not discover Riga, which is both affordable and within a reasonable distance?

Great list. To survive November, I think I will focus on chocolate (love Belgian chocolate!) and maybe then preferably in combination with long walks. 🙂
08 November 2018 - 9:16
Helena says:
It makes sense to combine the chocolate with walks! 🙂

Role o Carina says:
It was not a bad list, the sushi looked deliciously good! 🙂
A cup of hot chocolate and a cheese sandwich is good on a cold night!
Have it Nice.....

A very good list, where I discovered two things we actually have in common: not playing games and not exercising;-)
08 November 2018 - 21:18
Helena says:
Haha, yes that's right! 😉 Exercise would not be wrong for our part, but right now it is bad with it ...

Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
What a fun list, I'll have to think about mine one day.
I just came home after a few hours with colleagues at Aqua Vitalis (spa in the Arena Skövde swimming pool). It's definitely a good way to spend a grey November evening. I can't say it makes you feel better, but it gives you an incredibly nice and relaxed feeling....

Feel free to join the list! And wow, your blog should really be included among our tips on new great motorhome blogs. Have added it now! 🙂

Elisabeth says:
We have the light, so we can handle November well. Soup is also good in the heat! We treat ourselves to a few good things to eat and then it is important to walk, so we do not grow in the direction of travel! Have a good time!
08 November 2018 - 22:23
Helena says:
Nice to have the light! And yes, it is important to move! It is important for many reasons!

Lovely list! We are considering visiting both Viking Life and the Medieval Museum after tips from you 🙂 We will be in Sthlm the first weekend in December. How long, would you say, is reasonable to spend on each museum?
Hug Lena
09 November 2018 - 7:52
Helena says:
Nice that you want to visit these museums! 🙂 Wow, how difficult to say how much time you want to spend, it is so different. Both museums are relatively limited in size. not so big. We maybe spent 1.5 hours per museum, but as I said, it is so different.

Lena - good for the soul says:
OK, thank you. Then I know approximately. 2 hours usually feels quite reasonable for me, generally. But I remember when we were on a warship in the USA (USS Midway in San Diego). It felt like we ran through it in six hours and didn't get to see half of it. Sort of. Really interesting. And big!

Fun list! 🙂 I think lentil soup is good all year round!
And I can share a film tip with you. Recently saw A man called Ove for maybe the 3rd time, absolutely brilliant film if you ask me! If you are an emotional person like me, you will experience the entire emotional spectrum when you see that film 😉 But you have probably already seen it.
