Last Friday, we checked out the mini caravans and motorhomes at Caravan Helsinki, the motorhome and caravan fair organised in conjunction with the Matka travel fair. The coolest thing we saw at the fair was the silver Lifestyle Camper mini caravan from Ukraine.

Caravans and motorhomes at Caravan in Helsinki
We have checked out both new and slightly less new caravans and motorhomes at Caravan in Helsinki, i.e. the fair with campervans and caravans organised in conjunction with the travel fair. Matka. A dealer told us that sales of motorhomes in Finland increased by more than 9% last year and that the following brands are the most popular in the country:
Motorhomes
- Adria
- Burstner
- Sunlight
Caravans
- Hobby
- Adria
- Kabe/Dethleffs
Cool Mini Caravan: Lifestyle Camper
By far the coolest thing we saw at the fair was a tiny shiny caravan from Ukraine. You can sleep two people in the caravan and at the back you have a kitchen with a stove, fridge and sink. The caravan has not yet been shown in Sweden, but there is a Swedish dealer, which can be found on the company's website. The price of the caravan is around EUR 13 000. If you want to be really cool, this is it!
Another mini caravan: GS Trailers
A similar caravan was shown from GS Trailers. This one was not as cool, but offers a similar concept at a much lower price, namely around €5200.
Bürstner with new colours
Bürstner Lyseo TD 727 G Harmony Line is a new model from 2018, with better construction and a new colour scheme. We thought it was nice looking, but perhaps felt there was too much focus on space and not enough focus on practicalities like cabinets and drawers.
- Length: 7, 50 metres
- Total weight: 3.5 tonnes
- Number of seats/beds: 4/2
- Price: About 82 000 euros
Knaus with cosy luxury
Knaus Sun TI 650 MF Platinum Selection is a really nice looking motorhome, with a cosy interior that feels a bit exclusive at the same time. The motorhome is not very big, but it still feels like you have what you need. We liked this one!
- Length: 6.99 metres
- Total weight: 3.5 tonnes/4.4 tonnes
- Number of seats/beds: 4/4
- Price: About 78 000 euros
Hymer with cool chassis
Hymer Grand Canyon has a Mercedes chassis and looks really cool on the outside. We think it might not be as impressive inside, where it feels a little more ordinary. Guess you're paying for quality and handling rather than interior design.
- Length: 5.99 metres
- Total weight: 3.5 tonnes
- Number of seats/beds: 4/4
- Price: About €95,000
Adria for short people
Adria Coral Platinum 690 SC can certainly be excellent for those who are shorter than 180 cm. It's almost as if there should be a sign outside warning people over 1.80 to get in. But yes, otherwise it is a nice motorhome.
- Length: 7.40 metres
- Total weight: 3.5 tonnes
- Number of seats/beds: 4/3
- Price: About 77 000 euros
LMC with side beds
LMC Cruiser Comfort T712 is a really nice motorhome with a nice interior. We personally would not choose a car with long beds on each side of the centre aisle, but if you want it, this is nice.
- Length: 7.4 metres
- Total weight: 3.5 tonnes
- Number of seats/beds: 4/4
- Price: About €73,000 (basic price)
LMC with roof bed
LMC Cruiser Comfort T612 is a slightly shorter motorhome and was shown with a bed that we like better. There is also an extra roof bed that can be folded down if necessary. This might be handy if you only need it occasionally, but you might find it impractical to have to crouch under it when it's folded down.
- Length: 6.4 metres
- Total weight: 3.5 tonnes
- Number of seats/beds: 4/3
- Price: About €69,000 (basic price)
Sunlight with room for five
Sunlight I 68 is, like other Sunlight vehicles, a budget option and this is reflected in the interior, but on the other hand you get a lot of motorhome for your money. This fully-integrated motorhome can accommodate five people.
- Length: 7.4 metres
- Total weight: 3.5 tonnes
- Number of seats/beds: 5/5
- Price: About 73 000 euros
Hobby with refrigerators in upper cabinets
Hobby Vantana de Luxe K65 ET is a really stylish motorhome with a cool interior. For example, the fridge has been placed in the overhead cabinets, which is an interesting and different solution.
- Length: 6.4 metres
- Total weight: 3.5 tonnes
- Number of seats/beds: 4/2
- Price: About 65 000 euros

Emma, sun like sun? says:
I sat for a while looking at the Bürstner and Helena picture. Have you been trick photography? I thought. Then I realised that it was a mirror! Haha, so weird!
A caravan or caravan must be a challenge in terms of ingenuity! I like that, smart solutions, things that have more uses than just one. The "beam bed", so you have to duck under it if you want to go out or go to the toilet in the middle of the night? I hope it's possible to add padded edges ...
20 January 2019 - 11:21
Helena says:
Haha, yeah, mirror 😉 And yes, in both caravans and motorhomes it's all about ingenuity and smart solutions. I like that too 🙂 You don't have to duck under the bed to go to the toilet (the toilet is inside), but if you want to go out you have to ...

20 January 2019 - 22:33
Reiselinda says:
That little caravan was a bit of fun, but far too small for my taste. We visited a couple of big motorhome dealers in Germany last year and we had a hard time finding a layout we liked in a car under 3.5 tonnes. Also, the load weight was usually too low. We have no plans to replace our motorhome in the near future, but there is the question of whether a new driving licence is needed before that time.
We're planning to visit the Caravan Fair in Kista, so we'll be on top of things anyway!
20 January 2019 - 18:06
Helena says:
Well, the load weight is always a problem. The driving licence can be solved (if necessary) but there are more difficulties with a heavy motorhome (but also advantages of course).

Elisabeth says:
Some new and exciting things. Good to see!

Henny says:
I liked the little mini from Ukraine. Cool and big enough for one person. But now it's a motorhome and if I needed a new one, I would definitely check out Hobbyn with the fridge at the "right" height. Nice to sit at home and get a review of what you saw at the fair.
20 January 2019 - 19:49
Helena says:
I also liked that little caravan, although like you we prefer a motorhome. Funny that you wanted to "follow along" at the fair 🙂 .
20 January 2019 - 22:35
BP says:
I am totally sold on the mini caravans, especially the first one. Like Ama, I had to think for a moment what I was looking at in the first picture.
20 January 2019 - 20:10
Helena says:
Yes, I know, the picture turned out a bit strange. Peter also said he had a hard time seeing, but I went for it anyway haha 😉 But isn't it a charming carriage?
20 January 2019 - 22:36
Helena - Oh darling, let's be adventurers says:
I saw a similar Lifestyle Camper at another fair, but this one was almost even cooler! If I remember correctly, the other one was a little bigger and what is cool is clearly the size. The question is whether it was not the same or very similar to the other one from GS Trailers.
If I had to choose, I wouldn't choose any of them, but would probably go all in on a smaller motorhome.
20 January 2019 - 21:51
Helena says:
I think there have been some other fairly small ones as well, I don't have full control 😉 I like them very much, but I still prefer a motorhome 🙂.
20 January 2019 - 22:38
Maria / Magnolia Magis says:
What fun to see! We don't intend to go to any motorhome/caravan fairs this year so it was fun to get some pictures. Mini caravan, that's what we want to build! To have behind the Defender.
Adria should suit me who is short! Although it may be difficult for the husband 180... I also think that the one with a fridge in the upper cabinet is not something for me... But maybe good? ;D
