Balcamp is a Polish motorhome brand that exhibited two cool Polish motorhomes at the Caravan Stockholm 2019 fair. One motorhome is built on a Man chassis and the other on a Mercedes chassis, and both are equipped with an extra luxurious interior. In other words, these are two trailers that stand out.

Balcamp showcases Polish ploughshares
At Caravan Stockholm 2019, several smaller and more unknown motorhome brands were shown, which is great! Balcamp is a Polish motorhome brand that we know very little about. We've tried googling, but haven't really found much information. If you know more, please tell us! At the fair, two camper vans were shown that were both perceived as luxurious, one with a Mercedes chassis and the other with a Man chassis.
Mercedes Balcamp 710
The Mercedes Balcamp 710 is built on a Mercedes chassis and is 6.83 metres long. The engine is a 2.2 litre turbo diesel with 140 hp. The total weight is 3500 kg.
The driver's area feels really luxurious, with upholstered matching panels. And no, Peter is not the least bit sad. He's just very tired after four days at the fair - we looked at this nice car about half an hour before the fair closed on the last day ...
There are four belted seats and four sleeping places in the motorhome. The kitchen has a stove with two gas hobs, and there is a water tank with space for 86 litres of fresh water. The price of this motorhome is 820,640 euros.
Balcamp Man 710
The Mercedes Balcamp 710 is built on a Man chassis and is also 6.83 metres long. The engine is a 2.0 litre turbo diesel with 177 hp. The total weight of the motorhome is 3500 kg.
This plate is also equipped with a really neat driver's compartment, which feels both luxurious and lavish. Both seats are swivelling.
There are four belted seats in the motorhome and four beds, two of which fold down from the roof. The interior is really neat and stylish and most of what you need is there, but at the same time it must be said that it becomes quite crowded to move around in the car.
In the kitchen there is a stove with two gas hobs, and there is a water tank with space for 86 litres of fresh water. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. The price of this motorhome is SEK 980,000.
Excited about two new Polish vans! What do you think of these and other motorhomes at Caravan Stockholm 2019?
More flatbed trucks at Caravan Stockholm 2019
Here you can read about even more exciting trailers at Caravan Stockholm 2019:
- Westfalia Kepler Sixty - flat ice with a 50s feel
- Volkswagen Grand California - 6.8 metres of plate ice
- Inspire Camper - a flatbed with a standard motorhome door
Britt-Marie Lundgren says:
When the flatbed starts to approach 7 metres in length, I start to wonder what is the finesse compared to a motorhome, a smaller model. Of course they were delicious, but the point of a flatbed is that it should be a little smaller and easy to get around with.

Yes, longer motorhomes are starting to appear! I think that as the range of camper vans increases, so will the number of variants ...

Martin Hellgren says:
I welcome a flatbed that is a bit bigger. They're still far more agile than most motorhomes and they still have the characteristics of a flatbed.
However, there are major disadvantages to these chassis as they are narrower and taper faster the closer you get to the roof. A Fiat Ducato L4H3 has a wider body with more possibilities.
But I was also in the cars. It felt premium. Stuffed leather on the dashboard, the steering wheel is the same model as in a Mercedes S class, which feels luxurious.
The sofa group in Mercan felt like that. Looked difficult to sit 4 people and eat food comfortably. The table is far from the passenger seat. And no one can want to sit a whole evening on that "stool" behind the driver's seat.
The kitchen area was narrow but still had plenty of space. Too bad the fridge was so small. Premium and this money I would like to see a bigger fridge. The bathrooms feel like the bathroom in an operating theatre. They can think a little more about what they can do to make it a little more decorated and homely. Didn't feel premium either. And because the chassis is narrow, the song is also narrow. All those who entered the car when I was there commented on the bed.
It seems that most people want a flatbed with a double bed. I can't for the life of me understand it. Why would I want to lie one metre away from my wife????!
So for me, the bed would work in Mercan.
With kind regards,
Martin H

Thank you for this! Many good reflections and observations! Can agree with a lot, including that the bed in one car was narrow. Maybe it would work for us, but it was still so that I also reacted to it.

Mr Lasse Johansson says:
When I talked to them, they said that they built to order, come with your van and tell them how you want it and they will build it in 6-8 weeks. At production peaks, the waiting time could be up to 12 weeks before a van was ready.
20 February 2019 - 8:36
Helena says:
Yes, that may be true! I asked about certain interior details and they said something similar, that they can build differently if you want.

Lena in Wales says:
Looks nice, but what a scarf to ride around in.
Perhaps completely wrong, but it feels that way to a real amateur.
Take care!

Helena says:
There are quite a few motorhomes that are much bigger 😉 .

Mr Nils-Åke Hansson says:
Mercedes and MAN chassis as a towbar, obviously more expensive cars. But they were beautiful!
20 February 2019 - 10:11
Helena says:
Yes, these chassis do contribute to a higher price!

anita says:
I wouldn't mind living permanently in one of those. But with a driver because I would never attempt to drive one. Not a smaller one either, for that matter.
20 February 2019 - 12:13
Helena says:
If I were to live permanently in a motorhome, I would actually choose a slightly larger version 🙂 And I'll let Peter drive 🙂.

Our Vantastic Travels says:
Nice vehicles, really nice, but why only 86 litres of water, Fricamping requires a larger water tank we think o 177 hp is good on a car that weighs 3.5... then it can go really well on uphill slopes in e.g. the Alps.

Thanks for the great comments! 🙂

BP says:
In itself, it is really fun that Polish companies are trying to enter the sheet metal market with German engines, but the interior especially of the Balcamp Mercedes is absolutely horrible if I may say so.
20 February 2019 - 20:30
Ruth in Virginia says:
Didn't exactly know, how to say it, BP,
but your opinion is mine too, absolutely.
The only good thing is Peter, who is exhausted. 🙂
20 February 2019 - 22:04
Helena says:
BP, haha, the taste is like the pastry ? Funny that there are many new variants, I think, so everyone finds something they like?
21 February 2019 - 8:45
Ruth in Virginia says:
No wonder Peter is tired. Four days to watch the big
and not-so-large vehicles can kill anyone.
Rest up now!

You can really get tired of hanging out at the fair (even though it's fun), very intense all the time and a lot of impressions!
