Four days at the fair are over - tiring, but also great fun! This week we are especially happy that it feels like spring is in the air. One small downside to the break between winter and spring is all the ice floes hitting the hull of our boat, but that's a blow you have to take. Happy Friday!
Four days at the fair
We spent four days at the fair Caravan Stockholm 2019. It was very intense and very fun! We had our own stand, lectured twice and also ran around checking out interesting news and motorhomes to write reports about. The most fun was meeting industry colleagues, friends, readers, motorhomers, campers ... Many wonderful meetings that we can live on for a long time!
Feelings of spring
We have also (like perhaps many others?) suffered from spring feelings. The snow is melting, the sun is shining and it feels like this spring-like in the air. Even though it's only February, it feels (perhaps naively?) like winter is over. Even though I like snow and winter, I can look forward to the glorious spring!
Ice floes in the marina
One thing that is related to the spring feelings, but which may not be quite as "happy" is all the ice floes that have drifted into the marina. They come in through the inlet and then drift straight towards the harbour. our houseboatbecause a propeller in the water pushes them in that direction. There they wedge themselves between our hull and the jetty and hit the hull throughout the night. So, what's happy about that? Maybe that they have soon melted away!

The sound would have driven me crazy for a whole night, I think. But, as I said, you have to take a beating if you choose to live like that. All types of housing have their disadvantages.
The best thing about this week is that I was off yesterday and today. Just to relax, catch up a bit at home and just land. It is needed from time to time.

You can get a little crazy, but sometimes you have to take something bad with something good 😉 Nice to be free! Wishing you a nice weekend!

There are pros and cons to everything. Even the spring can be a bit difficult with the noise... But soon they will be gone those stupid ice floes! 🙂
The best thing about this week was of course the trip to Madrid. The worst was the picture on the passport photo, but isn't it a law that you have to look like the world's weirdo on ID documents? 😉 Let's see just how bad it got when we get the passports delivered to the consulate here in town in a couple of three weeks 😀.

Haha, it is INCLUDED that you should look like criminals in passport photos! 🙂 The BEST thing about passport photos is that you do not have to frame them and hang them on the wall 🙂 Nice weekend!

The best thing this week was the spring weather on Wednesday (even though I was sitting inside looking out at it) and the worst thing was waking up on Thursday morning and rushing to the station in 5-10 cm of wet snow.
Today is Happy (free) Friday, with sunshine and brilliant winter weather, so now it's time for a long walk....

As long as it's a natural sound, I think it's ok, something positive. Even if the Canada geese and magpies make a lot of noise..it's nature. 😉 This week I must say went unusually fast or? It was probably just because the spring sun peeked out. Have a happy Friday! ;D

The ice floes look really dangerous. Apart from the noise (there are earplugs;-) ), I would be terrified that the flakes would break the hull. Seven promised plus degrees on Sunday may ensure that the ice floes disappear for this time.

The wonderment of an ignorant...
can't you put some kind of rubber ring around the boat to counteract the ice floes?
Probably not! ??
