Why not go on a lovely spa cruise with Viking Line? We went on a combined party, food and spa cruise on Viking Cinderella this weekend, and experienced 24 beautiful hours on board. Now it's time to tell you about our spa experiences!

Luxury on the Viking Cinderella
Last Friday and Saturday we experienced a really luxurious day on the cruise ship Viking Cinderella. Friday night started with The national chef team's winning menu and concluded with The CocoLoco Experience. Saturday morning we started with a luxurious breakfast, before it was time for the spa and then a good lunch. Not bad, right?
BABOR skincare brand
The skincare brand BABOR is a German premium brand founded in the late 1950s by Dr Babor. The brand has, among other things, 15 full-time researchers in Germany and 400 (!) different products. BABOR is now available on all Viking Line's vessels and spa treatments are offered on Cinderella, Viking Grace (which has the company's largest and newest spa with fantastic views of the sea), as well as on Gabriella and Mariella, which goes to Helsinki.
Spa treatments at BABOR
Exclusively for Viking Line, BABOR has developed the signature treatment "Sail Away", which is a combination of relaxing back massage with peeling and facial treatment. Peter tried this particular treatment and was really pleased with the treatment he received from spa therapist Anna. Afterwards, he said he felt like he was 25 years old again...!
There are also quite a few other treatments to choose from, such as the Sea Salt Oil Scrub, Wellbeing Massage, Happy Feet, Cruise Deluxe and Captain's Choice. Many of the treatments are 45 minutes or longer, but you can also choose treatments that are 20-30 minutes long.
Whirlpool and ... cold bath
Before Peter's treatment, we spent an hour in one of the whirlpools at the spa. Soooo nice! In addition to the whirlpool, there is a sauna and a cold bath, where the water is 6-9 degrees. Seriously, the latter is nothing for us, so the photo is mostly to illustrate how cold it was ... I was dipping myself not! We had a much, much better time in the warm and cosy whirlpool!
Spa cruise with Viking Line
Viking Cinderella was the last to get BABOR on board, and the premiere for this was on 1 February this year. Since it is tax-free on board, both treatments and products are at least 25 per cent cheaper than on land. When we looked around on Viking Line's website, it seems that the most affordable option may be to book in advance a spa packagewhere the cabin, treatment and dinner are included in the price.
Return journey with Viking Line
What do you do on a spa cruise with Viking Line when you "spaat" finished? We chose to have lunch at the Italian restaurant and bar Bottega Prosecco Bar. Here, perhaps mainly Italian antipasti are served, but it was also possible to get an honest shrimp sandwich with a large strong for 159 kroner. Not bad!
Afterwards, we each enjoyed an Irish Coffee while gliding through the Stockholm archipelago. A really wonderful cruise, we must say, and then we have not even told you about the Kocklandslagets dinner menu yet ... Will return about it!
Stay at Viking Cinderella
There are, of course, many different cabins to choose from on board Viking Cinderella, ranging from windowless economy cabins to windowed cabins, cabins that are accessible to people with mobility impairments and spacious suites with every conceivable luxury. We stayed nicely in a Seaside Premium Promenade on deck 11 and enjoyed both the view and the sparkling wine, which is included in the price of the cabin. We would definitely consider going on a spa cruise again!
Have you ever been on a spa cruise with Viking Line, or perhaps with another cruise line? Would you like to go on a spa cruise?

A spa cruise seems like a really nice way to spend a day and what a lovely cabin you had.
Especially this time of year is perfect for spas. I am going to the Arken spa in Gbg with my daughters, Friday-Saturday.

Have been on the equivalent with Birka Paradise and it was very successful. Cinderella we have gone on occasion but no spa cruise there, Glad you thought it was successful. (And a comfortable cabin high up with a large window we usually also choose completely regardless of which ship we go but)

At last! SPA.... Yes it is so lovely! Although a little disappointed that you did not dip yourself in the cold spring...;) It is nice to switch between hot and cold and quickly to hot again. ;D It looks really nice and luxurious! The food also looks good in this and other posts.

Helena says:
Haha, so I hate cold baths and would NEVER dip myself in an ice bath voluntarily, so fy! 😉 Otherwise it was very relaxing and nice! 🙂
Also answered the same as I answered above; we are rebuilding the blog and in connection with that we have some problems. The pages load slowly and we have difficulty responding to comments. Hope to fix as soon as possible!!!

BP says:
No, I have not gone on a spa cruise before. But considering how cold it was this weekend and how hot you had it (had also skipped the cold bath, you do not want to suffer a heart attack), what food and drink you enjoyed and that the cruise was probably sponsored, it was really not a bad choice.

Spa cruise is not stupid at all! 🙂 And sorry if I was unclear about the cruise !!! When I told you about it the first time, https://www.freedomtravel.se/2019/02/cocoloco-experience-festkryssning-med-viking-line/, we wrote that this was a press trip, which it was! This meant that we were invited to test a few different innovations - I'm putting it in the post now for clarity!

Cosy to go on such excursions. I have never been on a spa cruise, but a gourmet cruise. It was cosy too.
