The days are flying by and it's already Friday again. The best part of the week for us is perhaps that we have started re-watching all the seasons of the TV series Game and Thrones, and every day we look forward to the evening's episode on the TV sofa. We have also had a nice and inspiring meeting at the Sri Lankan embassy. Sri Lanka is a country we would love to visit again!
Sri Lanka meeting
On Wednesday, the Sri Lankan embassy organised a meeting together with the airline Emirates. There were mainly people from travel agencies present, but also some travel writers.
We were told that tourism from Sweden has increased significantly and they want to tell Swedish travellers that there are great opportunities for nature and adventure. I Sri Lanka you can not only experience animals and culture, but also play golf, sail, surf or try rafting.
One of the airlines flying to Sri Lanka is Emirates, with a stopover in Dubai. They told us that they have a very young and modern fleet, and were giving away some flights. But we were not so lucky to win ...
However, we were treated to wine and good traditional Sri Lankan food. Our fellow blogger Gunilla, from the blog 4000 milI live in Umeå but happened to be in Stockholm for work. Very fun to meet! We had so much to talk about that in the end, completely involved in conversation, we realised that we were almost alone at the event ... time to go home!
TV series
We rarely have time to watch TV because we work all the time, but sometimes we make time for someone TV series. It's almost time for season 8 of the fantasy series Game of Thrones, and we can't wait. love really this series. Soooo relaxing to step into a world that doesn't even exist in reality. Talk about travel! We're currently rewatching all the first seven seasons to be prepared for the premiere of season 8. If you want, you can read our guide to Game of Thrones season 8!
We put a lot of focus on our blog, and sometimes it's hard to keep up with our social channels as much as we would like. The last week I have tried to put a little more love on our Facebook page and it has resulted in a few more followers. Great! Do you also want to follow? Find our Facebook page here.

We're among the many who haven't seen a single episode of Game of Thrones! However, we've heard all the praise, so maybe it's time soon.... The best part of the week for us was how quickly it was possible to get compensation from SAS after the cancelled flight on Friday!
Will check out your Facebook page and see what you have done. Trying to keep mine active too. http://www.facebook.com/reiselinda if anyone wants to join us on our travels!

But so nice with a quick replacement! We may not have made so many visible changes on FB, except that we changed the front image then. Have gone through and updated info, posted some extra posts, started following others ... yes, a little commitment simply 😉 Of course, I already follow your FB page! 🙂

Funny to meet like that and that you have so nice so you do not notice that time just flies away (with Emirates, maybe? 😉 ).
The best thing that happened this week is that I was released from sickness, but also the lovely weather we have now makes you really happy 😀.
Have a wonderfully happy Friday!

I've never watched Game of Thrones either, but maybe it's about time. But 8 seasons, that's so much.... Too bad I didn't know about the Sri Lanka event, but that's for another time. You can't get everything.

Missed the meeting here at the embassy. Completely forgot about it. What a shame! Glad you met at "4000 miles".
We have visited Sri Lanka on a couple of occasions and are happy to do so again. Maybe next year. Emirates is very good so we have planned to travel with them. Have tested them on the way to Bangkok. Plenty of legroom, good service and good food. And if you pay a little extra, it gets even better. We have been super satisfied when we travelled with them.
I rarely watch series because I often miss and then forget to catch up. "Our time is now" is the only one I followed.
Best of the week? A lot of feedback from what I wrote about our trip in South America, also from there and some new jobs for the summer and autumn. Great fun.

What a wonderful Sri Lankan meeting you had.
I think Game of Thrones is a bit too violent for our taste...
The best part of the week is that the hassle with the suitcase and phone problem has been solved and we can now just enjoy our stay here and celebrate Lars' birthday today on this Happy Friday.

The mingling at the Sri Lankan Embassy is very much to your liking. Perhaps it is partly thanks to your reports that more people have found their way there.
Emirates is the main sponsor of Arsenal, and the team's home stadium is called Emirates, so it must be a good airline;-).

Yes, my goodness, the week is going fast!!! Games of Thrones I saw the first two rounds, then I do not know why but I got tired. Maybe I'll catch up here too! 😉
The best part of the week is meeting our children!
The blog we have is more sporadic because it takes so much time!!! Facebook and Instagram are easier to just post something quick and easy, I think (@magnoliamagis ).
No, now I will find Game of Thrones and watch the first round! Have fun!
