Happy Friday! This week has been intense for us and we have had a Bauhaus dinner, lots of travel planning and a nice After Work. Best of all, we are currently looking forward to the exciting motorhome trip in Germany! What has been the best part of your week?

Bauhaus dinner
This week we were invited to a dinner by the German Tourist Board, with the theme Bauhaus 100 years. Bauhaus, you might ask? No, not at all! Bauhaus is from the beginning something completely different and we will write more about this on the blog soon. In the meantime, we can reveal that the link with design is very strong, and that is why the German dinner was held in the city centre. Gärsnäs showrooms in Old Town.
The Bauhaus furniture was not in the room, but we were able to check it out using virtual reality. Really cool, if we can believe Peter. I (Helena) was supposed to try it out later, but time has a tendency to run out ...
The dinner we were offered was super good with tuna for starters, meat and potato gratin for the main course and a cake for dessert with a nicely made hashtag, celebrating Bauhaus!
Planning for the Beach Basket Challenge
The morning after the Bahaus dinner, we met with the German Tourist Board and Stena Line to plan the The beach basket challenge which will take place in May. We can say that this trip will contain a lot of exciting moments. Don't miss out on that adventure!
Lots of jobs
Between all the events and all the blogging, I (Helena) still work half-time. This week we have been busy, including the recruitment of participants for the health project / study we plan to start in the autumn. Exciting! In the picture you can see one of Tor's towers at Torsplan, right next to my workplace.
AW with fellow travel blogger
Last night we had an AW with our travel blog colleague Christian from Food and travel blog. Very fun to talk travel and blogging over a beer! Must also say that his mobile phone camera from Huawei takes really nice photos!

Bauhaus...a great source of inspiration in graphic design back in the 60s for those of us who attended Bergh's advertising school!
What an example that still stands today?

Great to hear! We didn't know anything about Bahaus before, but after this evening I feel fully fed 🙂 Interesting!

Bauhaus dinner sounded a bit weird, actually. Of course, I thought of the store immediately, but it looked very nice and good 🙂 Then I can think it is strange to get two main courses and no dessert? Both meat and potato gratin and a cake for the main course? It was also a bit weird 😉 😀 (Sorry, could not help it 😉 ).
The best thing about the past week must be that the sun has come back, meetings with good friends and the mini trip we made to Cartagena. But the very, very best thing was of course that I - finally! - got hold of a RED lava lamp 😀.
Have a happy Friday!

Haha, it's good that someone is reading carefully! 😉 I was tired when I wrote (AFTER those beers) ... but now I have changed. No cake for the main course 😉 Congratulations on the lava lamp!!! 🙂

It sounds like a busy but fun week.
Here it has also been full up with lunch visits to daughter in Gbg, "girl meeting" with lunch at the incredibly cool Näs factories below Alingsås and now just returned home after a round of golf. One day I actually had time to work too.....

The Bauhaus Museum is a must if you are in Berlin! And the most beautiful piece of furniture in our house is a Bauhaus table lamp that Roger gave me when I turned 40. I had wanted one for more than 15 years. 🙂

Imagine how clever Bauhaus was to choose that particular name. I knew what Bauhaus was. There is actually a Bauhaus Centre in Tel Aviv and the so-called white block there is built in Bauhaus style.

What a great week! VR is indeed cool. Yes, mobile phone cameras take really good photos nowadays. You can certainly learn a lot of extra subtleties too if you make an effort. (I can be a bit lazy sometimes, haha.) 😉 Nice pictures!
My favourite part was celebrating a big project with one of my biggest customers. We did this on the "first parquet" in Strängnäs, next to the cathedral in all the spring greenery. Powerful!
Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
Hugs
