Happy Friday! We have some photos from the houseboat life and some news about outdoor stuff from an event this week. The best part of this week is probably that we (the blog) turned ten years old, that we received lots of congratulations and that the answers to our blog survey are pouring in! What has been the best part of your week?
Houseboat life
What happens in your neighbourhood if someone needs to remove a pool from the garden? In our neighbourhood, you book a crane boat... This week, our neighbours needed to get rid of a pool that wasn't working anymore, and luckily it went smoothly. As usual, we got something to look at through the windows!
For our part, everyday life here in Pampas marina has been more ordinary. What you usually do is to transport things (groceries, mail, rubbish, etc.) either to or from the houseboat on the long piers. Fortunately, there are carriages!
Display of outdoor gadgets
Outdoor life is popular! Yesterday, we attended an event at the Downtown Camper hotel, where companies showcased various outdoor gear. Perhaps we should mention that we have to tell you that we not are sponsored (we never are unless we label it at the top of the post), but we still enjoy reporting on news we've seen!
We checked out the lightweight and flexible folding outdoor furniture (top image) from Helinox. All are available with swing arms (super comfortable!) and are sold in Sweden via granitbiten.com. Unfortunately, they are quite expensive.
We also looked at boots from alfaoutdoor.se. The company has been in Norway since the 1930s, and is now marketed in Sweden by two Swedish guys who used to work for Haglöfs. I (Helena) would love to have a pair of lightweight mid-high boots like the ones Peter is holding in his left hand, but I have a pair of low hiking boots so I may not be able to afford this right now ...
Another cool thing was the inflatable "sofas" from chillbean.se. We've seen them at the boat show before, but only now did we have time to understand their use a little better. The couch fills with air without a pump and you can use it on the beach, float around on the water... or maybe ride it down the ski slope! I wonder if we should have one on the deck of the houseboat ...?

The best thing today - it's still early! - was a blood orange red sun rising behind Tjörn Bridge! Pure magic!

The best part of the week is probably the fun and rewarding moments we had with our neighbours down here, both on the golf course and in the evenings at some tapas bar.
Now we hope to meet at home.
Our day in Cartagena was also a highlight.
We wish you a nice weekend!

It has been a very nice week here too. The best thing is probably meetings with good friends and not least that a new tapas journey started yesterday 🙂.
Have a happy Friday!

Otherwise, it's the same misery with politics ...

Arrived! Now the picking starts with taking up everything again..but it is somehow more fun! We talked the other day about camping chairs that we could pack together and have in the Defender, and there seems to be an option!!! Your top picture! We will look at them! No now we fall into bed! Happy Friday!!!

It's great that so many people complimented you on the tenth anniversary. You are sooooo worth it!
Then I absolutely loved the shoe in Peter's left hand. Not only was it the right colour - orange - but also the right shape.
Then I laughed at the "shopping basket". I like BIBs that are on top next to household paper - hahaha:-) Oh, you don't seem to shop at Lidl either, I see;-) Okay then, we actually buy household and toilet paper there;-).

Emma, sun like sun? says:
Those inflatable "sofas" have been around here in Spain for a while, especially down by the beach. When it's windy, you just stand there with the opening to the wind and then tighten it. If there is no wind, you can create wind by running with the basket until it is filled.
The Spaniards usually pack the pavilion(s), seating (chairs, stools, those sofas, etc.), tables and half the kitchen on weekends, then they are on the beach all day, the whole family, i.e. 10-15 people. We have learnt not to sit close because it is often quite loud with laughter, shouting and music and we want to listen to the waves from the sea. Ideally, we don't go to the beach at all during Saturday-Sunday because it's packed.
Wow, that was a long time. All this for those inflatable things 😀.
I would have loved to have that rocking chair on a campsite, it looked great!
