The "Beach Basket Challenge" motorhome trip continues, and it was time for the seven motorhomes on the trip/competition to take on challenge number four. Now we have arrived in an area of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania known for its many lakes, and what better way to do so than by canoe?
Table of contents
Train from Camping Havelberge to Wesenberg
We started the morning on Havelberge Camping and Holiday Park, which is located right next to a lake in the area of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern known for its countless lakes. It feels like you're living in the middle of nature here, far from any cities, but there's actually a train right outside the campsite.
And take the train - that's exactly what we did! We walked the 500 metres to the train station and hopped on the only small carriage, for a short little train ride to Wesenberg.
Sculpture park in Wesenberg
Arriving in Wesenberg, we continued with a walk through a green park area until we arrived at The sculpture park in Wesenberg. It hosts exhibitions by various artists, both indoors and outdoors. Some of the art we didn't understand at all, but that's what happens when you look at art. Others we liked better. The park itself was fantastically beautiful with tall tree trunks completely covered in green leaves.
Geocaching
On the way to and from the train, our friends in the group discovered that there were a bunch of geocaches set up. I think they found three or four that they could register.
Challenge 4: Canoeing
Once back at the campsite, it was time for the fourth challenge, which meant it was time to go canoeing! We were helped by a guide who spoke Swedish, as he had lived in Sweden for a few years. We borrowed one Canadian canoe per couple and started with a quiet paddle on the lake, and into a green river. Fantastic! The sun was shining and it was just so delightful.
What about the challenge? Yes, that was the last thing we did. Everyone had to line up with the canoes in a line at a small bridge (well, it worked out well). like that with that line) and then it was a race to the next bridge. It started with a lot of commotion as everyone got stuck in each other, but in the end we had our winners!

Cosy up at the campsite
The beach basket challenge 2019 is and has been an intense journey, and a little moment of peace and quiet at the campsite after the canoe trip was appreciated. There was a picnic in the sun with some wine and other goodies, before it was time for dinner in the campsite restaurant. Today we roll on towards the next goal and the next challenge!

You, the whole group, look like you're really enjoying yourselves. Curre is probably a small lens bird, popular for taking photos ??.
Congratulations on the score and I hope your journey will be as good as the beginning.

Congratulations on another bronze! That little train is really cute. Smart with direct transport. And Curre, of course. What a nice parrot he is. Does he get to go with you all the time? Does he never sit in a cage? Yes, there are different kinds of pets. Laughed at his drinking habits in the film. Hahaha:-)

Thank you very much! 🙂 Curre is not always with us, but very often! He has a transport cage in the motorhome, but he probably prefers to be on our adventures, I think 😉.
