This week has been Valborg, and we have had a fantastic weather with brilliant sunshine and much needed rain. We have mostly worked - both at my (Helena's) job and with the blog at home in the houseboat. This Friday we offer some sunny photos from the marina where we live!

Sunny days
We have had such fantastic sunny and beautiful days here in Stockholm. Sometimes you are surprised when you wake up in the morning. Sun, again today ...? We are not spoilt with that in Sweden. We only have thin white curtains for our small windows on the lower deck where we sleep. This allows the sun to pour in completely in the mornings. Unfortunately, I (Helena) wake up very early, but it's quite nice anyway!
Nice walks
We walk and walk! We walk to my job and Peter walks to his meetings, almost no matter where in Stockholm it is. Sometimes it will be long. But who wouldn't want to walk in this lovely spring weather?
May Day and work
It was Walpurgis Night on Tuesday. I hadn't really noticed it at all, but I realised it when people started dropping home from work. In the end, I went too. I was originally set to work on Wednesday as well, but that didn't happen ... No control!
Instead, we stayed home and worked on the blog. We've always thought that Walpurgisnacht is a pretty boring holiday, and there were many fires that couldn't be lit because of the fire risk.
In the end: Rain
Yes, it has rained too. Several times actually. The rain is not as fun to photograph, but it is good for nature. And quite soothing!
The best thing about this week? It's probably that it's May and that we've had fantastic spring weather! What has been the best part of your week?

Hehe "...boring holiday..." Come to Uppsala on the last day of April and you'll see how boring it is! 🙂 Yes, as you understand, the best this week for me was of course the Last April celebration in Uppsala. So cosy to sit there with champagne breakfast and then stroll around and feel the nice folk festival atmosphere! As I grew up with that, I would never miss that date 🙂
Have a nice Friday!

Yes haha, I can imagine it!!! The thing is that I have not been to Uppsala on Valborg... I have only been to suburban celebrations when you make a fire and sell lottery tickets. A little sleepy like that 😉

How marvellous you have it. I wish I could also walk when I read about your regular walks.
The best thing at Getingstorp this week was the greenhouse premiere on Valborg. And of course that I got my crashed computer fixed.

Wonderful both with greenhouse premiere and fixed computer! Hope you have a nice spring at Getingstorp now!

Despite the beautiful weather, it was really nice that we also got some rain.
The best thing about the week was probably when Edwin, 6 years old and August, 2 years old came this morning to spend the weekend with grandma and Lars while mum and dad enjoy Stockholm and Swedish House Maffia. (Then we get to rest on Monday...).

Husis blog says:
The owners have learnt to like Valborg, but it's probably not because of the day itself; it has become a tradition for the New Year's Eve gang to gather and have a barbecue. So it was a nice and late night for the whole company.
Walking in the nice parts, judging by the pictures must be wonderful. To stroll around there by the seaside, so lovely.
Wishing you a really nice weekend!

So far, my week has really been very up and down. Got a sad message on Monday that something I have been fighting for for a very long time will not be a reality, got another highly unexpected but fun assignment, have had a bit of a hard time with a relationship that I am sad about, however, my training has gone very well this week. So a little up and down. You can not get everything as well 🙂 is still on the whole satisfied and should not complain even if you can be disappointed not to reach the whole way always as long as you are healthy and have conditions, just fight on and try to be happy with what you have I think .... Meant to be 🙂 Nice weekend - probably jogging past you tomorrow bite.

Incredibly beautiful photos! WOW I just say. Good that you took the opportunity to take these nice pictures when the weather was so wonderful. Today's snow-mixed rain would probably not have been as photogenic if you say so;-)
Agree with you that rain is needed, especially after the dry summer of 2018. I don't mind if it rains, as long as it does so during the nights;-)

Agree with the chorus, the photos are amazing!
We actually celebrated Valborg in the past in Sweden, usually with a rice fire and grilled sausages. Pretty cosy. Here it was not so much even though the first of May is a red day here too.
