We are currently on a press trip in Croatia. This means we get to see and experience a lot of amazing things. It also means that it is intense, and that there is limited time for sleep and other relaxing activities. Today we wanted to give you a little insight into our life on a press trip!

Press trip in Croatia
We are currently on a press trip in the region. Zadar in Croatia, organised by the Croatian Tourist Board. This means that we check out a lot of interesting and exciting destinations, but it also means that we have a much more intensive programme than when we are on holiday.
Early mornings
We have an intensive programme, which means we sometimes get up as early as 05:30 to do what we didn't get to do the night before and to pack for the day's adventure. We get into the hire car every morning at 08:00. Before that, we also have time to eat breakfast, charge our technical equipment, upload photos from memory cards and spend some time on social media.
Busy days
During the days we visit different destinations, sights, campsites and restaurants. Fantastically interesting and fun, but as I said, at a completely different pace than you would do on a holiday. How do we cope? We simply find our ways. Sometimes we sleep for 15 minutes in the car in a car park, haha. Then you are alert again!
Blogging in the evenings
We usually get back to the hotel around 10pm in the evening, and then it's time for me (Helena) to blog and for Peter to review and edit films. Me love to write about today's experiences, but sometimes it is actually impossible to write about everything I want. Then it will be like this instead - a post that tells about how our everyday life on a travelling foot is sometimes.
An example ...
To explain how intense it is, we can tell you about the hotel we are staying in. We are staying in a big and nice hotel in Zadar called Hotel Falkensteiner. There is a nice spa with such a delicious pool where you can swim both in and out, and a nice little bathing area with sun loungers.
They are also in the process of finalising a campsite here, which the owner is keen to show us around. Do you think we had time for any of this? No, it is impossible to get an hour. But we have at least photographed the pool!
Fantastic experiences
We are impressed and fascinated by the region of Zadar. It has everything from historic cities to beautiful beaches and dramatic scenery. We've seen a lot more than we've had time to tell you about, but some of it will be longer and more informative posts when we get back home.

Yes, the pace is probably a bit higher. But on the other hand, we are only two people and have no motorhomes to keep track of, so it's a little different too ? Fantastically nice in this area in Croatia!

Intensive but filled with niceties - then you stand out, I think 🙂 Although we "make" that intense on our own, then of course you do not have the same pressure. Can be "rebooked" if you say so 🙂
Keep up the good work!

What luck that you got away in the end, because it would really have been a shame to miss all the nice things you showed here on the blog. Really nice in Croatia, now I long to go there.

Lena - good for the soul says:
Hehe, yes, it's probably good that you explain. Many people probably think that you are just invited on a holiday trip and can chill as usual, kind of. I've never been on a press trip, but I've realised that it's really exhausting!
Hug Lena

Helena says:
Yes, that's probably true. You take lots of photos of wonderful moments. But nobody knows that you are rushing from the beach two minutes after taking the photo 😉.
