It was Friday again, and we are still travelling around Estonia. We have had really nice and interesting experiences this week, and now it is time for even more experiences - in the Estonian archipelago.

A week with many experiences
This has been a week of many experiences for us, and it is really difficult to choose what has been the "best". The visit to Lake Peipus in Eastern Estonia, among the "Old Believers" was very special and very interesting. It is an experience that we will not forget!
We also fell in love with the city of Tartu, with its Swedish history and youthful atmosphere. In addition, we made a detour to a summer camp for poor children in Latvia - that's another experience you won't forget! Here are this week's blog posts:
- Lake Peipus in Estonia - village festival, onions and old-timers
- Rally Estonia in Tartu - a marvellous folk festival
- 10 things to do in Tartu, Estonia
- The highest mountain in the Baltics - Suur Munamägi in Estonia
- Summer camp in Latvia - New Hope Children's Fund gives hope
- Pärnu in Estonia - beaches, spas and villas
Experiences in Eastern Latvia
We only made a short detour to Latvia this time, but we hope to see more of the country soon, maybe already next summer! The eastern parts, where we drove, are extremely green with long straight country roads, and only a few small villages appearing from time to time. The prices here are low and we had time to refuel: 11,85 SEK/litre for diesel we had to pay.
Estonia's west coast - more tourism
Now we have reached the west coast of Estonia, Pärnu and the islands off the coast. It feels quite different coming here, compared to the eastern parts of the country. It's fantastic, with beautiful beaches and nice wooden houses, but there are also more tourists and slightly higher prices (although prices are still lower than in Sweden).
The "total tranquillity" that we experienced in the eastern parts is not here. On the other hand, there is perhaps more that is adapted for tourists, in the form of hotels, restaurants, spas, theme parks, guided tours and so on.
Towards the islands
From Pärnu, we have continued out towards some of the many islands that are out here. The first island we visited is a fairly small island, and this was one of them. very interesting visit. Here, people still live by an ancient culture, with traditions so special and well-preserved that they are protected by UNESCO. Do you know which island it might be? We'll tell you more tomorrow! After that, we'll report on even more islands.
Your turn!
It's Friday and we want to hear how your week has been! What has been positive about the week ... big or small?

Home after five weeks travelling in Dalarna. The motorhome cleaned and washed after 250 kilometres. And 50 packets of crispbread from Leksand home.
We have one such doll from Estonia.

What drive you have, new discoveries every day, that you can do it? Personally, I want to settle down on holiday, read some books and just catch up. But you're still young, and we did some of the same things when we were younger. Have a good trip and enjoy it if you can.

Yes, haha, yes we like to find new places! Then this is a little more than a holiday for us, and will result in both magazine articles and lectures, so therefore we put more energy into it as well. But of course we enjoy ourselves from time to time, not least in the beautiful nature here in Estonia!

What an eventful week you had in Estonia.
Here at home it has mostly been work all week, but now the house painting is almost finished and only three days remain of my summer work. Then it will be motorhome sailing in all possible directions starting on Thursday!
