How are we doing on board the sailing yacht Bavaria C50? We have continued our sailing trip with "The Wind", now travelling from Poland to Germany. Today we also offer some photos and stories from life on board.

Continued sailing - from Szczecin to Krummin
We started early in the morning from Szczecin in Poland, to make the relatively long day trip to Krummin in Germany.
Lovely sailing trip
There are a total of 27 boats and around 100 people taking part in the programme. South Coast Baltic Boating Rally 2019. This is not a sailing competition, although it may sound like one, but rather a joint sailing trip to discover the coastline of north-west Poland and north-east Germany. Private sailors participate, and there are all kinds of sailboats on the trip, both small and large. We soon got good winds and everyone was able to hoist their sails.
Strong winds
After a while, the winds became increasingly strong and we got both good speed and proper tilt on the sailboat. A few times it really rocked, and one of those times the remains of the breakfast stood on the bench in the kitchen. In addition to some cleaning, the eggs turned into scrambled eggs ...
Sailing yachts Bavaria C50
The sailing yacht Bavaria C50 is 15.55 metres long and 5.05 metres wide. We have with us both the captain and crew and also Danish Gita, who fixes good meals while travelling. It feels very luxurious and comfortable on board, we must say.
On board the Bavaria C50
Would you like to see what it looks like on board? Here is a small sequence of images. First, you can see the large common room where you can work, eat or socialise. That just everything in the kitchen has been pushed into the sink in the picture is because it was rocking just a moment ago ...
There are five cabins on board. In the picture you see our cabin, which is one of the two largest. Then there are two that are a little smaller and one with a small cabin with a bunk bed. We have a wardrobe, lamps, electrical plugs and small windows in our cabin. How comfortable it is!
On board the Bavaria C50 there are also three toilets. These also work very well, at least as long as we follow the rule of no paper in the toilet. We have so far received two behavioural orders on board, which are 1) do not fall overboard and 2) do not flush paper down the toilet.
Life on board the bavaria c50
We have a really good time on board The Wind, as this sailing yacht is called. We spend a lot of time on deck, but it's also good to be able to go inside the boat to work or rest. There are several journalists on board, so there are also a lot of photographs ...
Still sailing towards Germany
The sailing (sometimes replaced by motorised travel) continued throughout the day. Here are some more photos from the trip. Among other things, we attended the bridge opening at Zecheriner Brücke.

What a wonderful sailing trip! And a super nice boat 🙂
"Our" Bavaria was very similar to the one you are travelling with, but it was slightly smaller as I said. 46 feet instead of 50.
Our captain Björn owned the boat and it is a friend we met down here in Torrevieja. Then there were only 6 of us from the ski and boat gang, so we had to cook our own food 😉 But we usually do that anyway, so it worked well.
Continue to have a great time with nice winds 🙂 !

Fun! And extra fun that there has been some sailing. Because even if it's not a sailing competition, it's a sailboat - and the wind is a prerequisite.
Have been on board a couple of similar boats and sailed and certainly they are comfortable. Just Bavaria is used a lot for rental.Wish you still nice days with good wind. And maybe you exchange the motorhome for a sailboat ...?

Yes, there has been a lot of sailing (even if it has been motorised from time to time). Glad that you sailed on similar! ??

Mr Steve says:
You seem to be having a fairly pleasant sail on a well-equipped boat, so there is certainly no need to worry.

What lovely pictures from your sailing trip! Incredibly nice and the part of the railway bridge is absolutely superb. Love such "monuments".
I have never been aboard such a large sailboat except at boat shows of course. Really luxurious and comfortable it looks like. Oh you who are guests on board do not even have to "work", neither hoisting sails and / or cooking. Incredible:-)

We spent a few days on board the beautiful sailing boat Gratia (wooden school ship) and it's even bigger, but less comfortable? And yes, we are really spoilt! Our job is to blog ? (Which iofs is a challenge sometimes with fluctuating internet and limited hours of electricity, i.e. only in harbour ?)

I must say that it looks really nice, like this from a distance. But damn it when it leans like that. Good thing I'm not on board. 🙂
