In May this year, we spent a night in a fantastically cosy accommodation in Skåne. At Cocoon meetings you get close to nature and if you want you can stay in simple glamping cabins without electricity or running water. A truly relaxing experience!

Cocoon meetings - different accommodation in Skåne
Cocoon meetings is the accommodation for those who want to stay a little different - and close to nature - on your holiday in Skåne. We were here on a blogging trip in and around Kristianstad during May, and even though we only stayed here for one night, this became one of our most lasting memories from the trip. What a different, special and charming place! If we had had the opportunity to stay here a little longer, we could probably have come down to earth. for real.
Warm welcome
When we arrived at the Cocoon meetings accommodation in Skåne, we were warmly welcomed by the owner. We were taken on a walk through nature, and eventually arrived at a simple entrance to one of the so-called "cocoons". Here we were offered some snacks and drinks while the owner told us about the business. We realised that there was a lot of hard work and passion behind the small hotel and restaurant business.
Cocoon number 1
Even though we were a whole bunch who stepped into the first "cocoon", you could feel the calm coming over you. It was a bit cool inside the stone walls, and at the same time cosy with fluffy blankets and burning candles. There is no electricity, no WiFi and no facilities - just a simple outhouse just outside.
We were two couples who wanted to live in the "cocoons" and we drew lots to see which couple could choose first. The other couple drew the longest straw and chose the first cocoon. We were perhaps hints disappointed at first, but later we were really happy with "our" cocoon.
Cocoon number 2
The second "cocoon" looks a bit more modern, but it too is completely surrounded by green nature. Through the large windows you have a magical view of the sunrise.
This accommodation is colourful, but even here you live simply, without electricity and facilities. Outside there is an outdoor toilet and water in jugs, and we were also given a basket with drinking water and a torch. We made a fire in the stove and lit all the candles for a while in the evening as darkness fell around us. At the same time we realised that it was just quiet. Absolutely fantastic! We would have loved to stay at this cosy accommodation in Skåne for several days ...
More rooms at Cocoon meetings
In addition to the "cocoons", there are several rooms in the two farmhouses. These rooms are also very cosy! When staying in the "cocoons" you can also come to these houses to take a shower or charge your electrical equipment.
Dinner at Cocoon meetings
In the evening, the whole group had dinner together at the restaurant of Cocoon meetings, which is located in one of the main buildings. Apart from the fact that the venue is cosy, it's been a long time since we had such well-prepared and tasty food.
It is clear that they have high ambitions for the restaurant and there is a strong focus on finding locally produced and seasonal ingredients. For example, how about asparagus from Österlen, creme fraiche from Vitaby or rooster fillet from Tockafarmen? For dessert, rhubarb soup with ice cream was served. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire fantastic five-course meal.
Breakfast at Cocoon meetings
The breakfast at Cocoon meetings is also not to be missed. We have become more and more discerning over the years, and have more or less tired of huge buffets where there is everything and more, but without quality or love. The breakfast at Cocoon meetings was the best we have had in a long time. The selection wasn't huge, but the bread was fresh, the avocado was perfect and the apple juice came from a nearby farm. Yes, you get it!
Cosy accommodation in Skåne
If you are looking for a cosy accommodation in Skåne, we can really recommend spending a night (or several) at Cocoon meetings. In the picture you see Peter in the morning, about to roll the suitcase from our "cocoon" and up to the farmhouse. We were very happy with our stay here, and would love to stay here again.

Incredibly delicious and a different concept to say the least. I have to say that Peter's "coat" fit perfectly with the colourful cocoon you ended up in. Thought the last room was the nicest, but it was in the hotel. What a fun accommodation.

Such a gem! I really like it when things are thought about and made a little special. Where the experience is the wonderful thing and not just material things. Then we are a bit picky about it being clean and without insects..hahaha.

Haha, I don't want to avoid insects, but on the other hand, they are part of nature 😉 We have a lot of spiders around our houseboat, but they have enough sense to stay on the outside 😉 Thanks also for the tip, I'll check it out! 🙂
