New agreement between Elmia and the Swedish Caravan Industry Association.
Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2019 has just been finalised after five intensive days of the fair. Elmia now reports in a press release that Elmia and the Swedish Caravan Industry Association (HRF) have signed a new multi-year agreement for the fair. The agreement means that the parties together continue to develop the Nordic region's largest trade fair for mobile life. Elmia and HRF have collaborated on Elmia Husvagn Husbil ever since its inception in the early 1980s. The next fair will be held on 9-13 September 2020 and bookings for the fair campsite will open in February.
New discount card for campsites
According to a press release from Campstop.se, a new discount card for campsites in Sweden has been launched. For SEK 200, those who buy the card get half the price of one night per year at affiliated campsites. You buy the card, get it downloaded to your mobile phone, find a Campstop-affiliated campsite and show the digital card at check-in or when paying. The service was launched "quietly" in August 2019 and the website shows that 13 campsites have been connected so far.
Classic weekend destinations hot this autumn
In the autumn it is popular to go on a weekend trip and weekend trips increase by 7.5 percent, according to a press release from Ticket. This year, it is the classics that attract Swedes the most. Here are this autumn's most popular weekend destinations:
New direct route from Arlanda to Seville
At the end of February 2020, SAS will start flying directly to Seville from Stockholm Arlanda once a week. It will be SAS' sixth destination in Spain. The new route will be operated between 29 February and 16 May with an A320neo with room for 180 passengers.
2019 cruise trends
Interest in cruise holidays has increased in recent years. Miami constantly tops the list of destinations Swedes choose during autumn and winter, mainly because many cruise ships depart from here. This year there are six clear trends in cruise travel, according to Resia:
- Intergenerational travel
- Mediterranean cruises on the rise
- Increased demand among families with children
- Increased interest in weddings and honeymoons on board
- Dubai and Singapore are trending
- Sustainability focus - importance of shipping company values and sustainability work
'Cult' becomes worst ever house of horrors
18 October is the premiere of Halloween at Gröna Lund. This year's novelty "The Cult" is a brand new house of horrors that promises to be the most frightening that the carnival has ever offered. Inside the sect's house, visitors will have to contend with claustrophobic corridors, creepy sect members, dark sacrificial rituals and evil forces that will do everything to ensure that you never come out again ... The age recommendation is set at 13 years (11 years in adult company).

Understand Miami tops among the cruises ?, there are sooo many destinations from there! For spring 2020, we had booked Dubai, but regretted it when they finalised our booking?... It will be from Miami next time with ?! Maybe dare to try Dubai next time again.... ?

The weekend destinations are the usual ones, you might say. Fun with direct flights from Arlanda to Seville, but why only between February and May. What was the thinking back then?
