I'm always a bit critical of such lists of most popular. Seems so random. But then again, it might be Kochi 2020. Haven't really decided yet. 🙂

Of course, you have to take these lists with a pinch of salt. I mostly think that this is Lonely Planet's point of view - one input among many. That you can get inspiration and ideas from others' lists, but maybe not that someone's list is more "right" than someone else's 😉 It sounds exciting with a plan for Kochi! 🙂

I also question several of the countries and cities on the lists, but it's fun to read anyway.
Of the countries, we have visited England, Swaziland, the Netherlands and Morocco. Costa Rica we have looked longingly at several times ...
Of the cities, only Salzburg and Kochi are visited.

Exciting with the Viking Line's new ships. Will definitely be tested. Have visited 7 of the cities and 6 of the countries. But the other countries are not directly on my current list. However, Vancover is included as a possible starting point for a possible trip to Alaska.

The blogger Crow Angles visited Bhutan very recently. An absolutely beautiful country. Not easily accessible and somewhat "primitive", but oh so exciting and different. I just hope that the flow of tourists doesn't ruin the country.
It is surprising that Bonn is on the list of best cities. I think the city is a "hole" without any charm. But that's me;-)
