There have been many electric bike rides in Stockholm lately, and we are slowly learning bike paths and parking tricks. Peter has also managed to do a beer tasting with Czech beer. Happy Friday!

Electric bike tours in Stockholm
We use our electric bikes all the time. We use them to buy food or stuff in DIY stores (we get a lot in Peter's basket!) and to get to meetings with, for example, tourist offices and other partners. In the last week there have been two such meetings, so we have been whizzing around Stockholm. Really fun actually, and quick and easy!
Beer tasting with Czech beer
This week we were also invited to a beer tasting with Czech beer. Unfortunately, I (Helena) could not come because I had an important meeting at work, but of course that did not stop Peter.
Jan-Erik Svensson, who has worked with beer since the 1980s, conducted the tasting. He has been the head judge at the Swedish home brewing championships, judged at the World Beer Cup in the US and the European Beer Star in Munich, taught beer at catering schools and was the head judge at the Stockholm Beer Festival.
Jan-Erik is also the author of several books on beer, has held hundreds of beer tastings and organises annual beer tours to Europe's top beer countries. In other words, what Jan-Erik doesn't know about beer is not worth knowing.
What did Peter think of the beer? Well, it got really good marks. Even the non-alcoholic beer (Bernard) passed with flying colours. The only one he wasn't too keen on was the dark beer, but that could be because he's simply not too keen on dark beer ...
What about the healthy habits?
Peter is very goal-oriented right now, both with food and exercise, so it was just... little beer at the beer tasting, even though it was good. This is, according to him, the first time he left beer or wine at a tasting!
At home, he's serving some kind of "plates" for dinner right now with a mix of rice, seafood, halloumi and a lot of different vegetables. Super tasty! There will be only water to drink, and then we have the lots of fruit at home ...
Best this week?
We are happy that the electric bikes are working so well and that we are (somewhat) keeping up with exercise and good food. What has been positive during your week?
The week ahead
We have several exciting reports in the pipeline, including a report on a dramatic motorhome incident, an interview on an exciting holiday destination and perhaps some reports on experiences in Stockholm. We end with a photo from the marina this week. Happy Friday!

Sounds like a nice week! And nice that you are doing both exercise and changed some eating habits. We usually walk between 7-1okm / day and if we do not walk, we cycle with a "regular" bike. We do this both at home in Stockholm and here in Spain. We have solid bike baskets and get what we need if we shop and can also put a bag / box on the package holder. Good everyday training! As for strength training, I run a programme at home (or wherever I am) where my body is the "weights".
Best of the week? The fact that the storm that has been here along the Costa Blanca has moved on, nice meetings with friends and that I still get nice work assignments of various kinds.
Wishing you a great weekend.

You have really good habits with your walks! And with cycling too, of course! Strength training with your body as a weight is good. We do that too, sometimes with various rubber bands to help. Nice that the storm has moved on. Wishing you a nice weekend!

But boy, what a shut-up picture at the end! How delicious!
The best thing about this week is that today is a work-from-home day. So I have been able to go out for a run in the sun. Today it felt like spring in the air when I went out! A little split there between longing for snow and longing for spring.

The sky was absolutely crazy that afternoon/evening! Interesting that you are torn between the desire for snow and spring. I definitely don't want spring before I get snow, haha 😉.

You've had a great week! Isn't it nice when you get started with good habits. We have become decent also when it comes to moving and how nice it is. Now it's just about holding on.
Now we are looking forward to a nice weekend with AW and musical, All shook up, tonight and a party with neighbours tomorrow (luckily we took a long walk in the morning...).

Wonderful that you are also started with good habits, it feels good when you are started! 🙂 And now it sounds like you have a fun weekend ahead of you! Have a great time!

Great with your electric bikes! I use both my electric and the regular granny bike, depending on how far I'm going 😀.
The best thing about this week is that I have moved a lot and that the small choir started on Wednesday night again 😀 Then it has been a bit negative but it is hidden in snow, which never came. It is important to capture life and beauty! And I have a lot of fun in the almanac waiting. Nothing big but the small joys I like to pick!
Hugs!

There are both positives and negatives in life ... Good attitude to try to focus on the positive, when possible! Fun with small highlights in the almanac, it does not always have to be so big things. Wishing you a nice weekend!

What a great picture to end the post!
Great that you are happy with your electric bikes. Laughed well that Peter is not PK, so he does not wear a helmet:-) Oh this winter has so far been perfect weather-wise, for cycling that is.
And the food looks like a health food. Soooo much fruit - can you really eat it all? We would never be able to do that.

Glad you like the picture! It was an incredible sky that afternoon/evening! And haha, no, Peter is not so pk ... 😉 (Although it was he who thought I should have a helmet!!) The fruit ... Normally we don't eat much fruit, but when we give up wine we want to nibble on something, haha ...

Hmm... I wish I was as good as Peter right now... The buffets on cruises are no joke.
But today I ended up in a gym by accident. Went from there as "fast" as I had ended up there. Haha!
(Maybe I should try those gyms at some point? But now it's Captains Circle going on. I think I prioritise it over any other kind of circuit training 😉 )
