X2000 becomes X40 000
A flight between Gothenburg and Stockholm is equivalent to 40,000 train journeys on the same route in terms of carbon dioxide emissions, according to SJ. To draw attention to the difference in environmental impact between the train and the plane, SJ is playing with the name of the popular fast train X 2000 by specially labelling two trainsets with X 40 000. The specially labelled X 2000 trains will run through Sweden during January and February.

Eva / Living like Eva says:
I travelled a lot with Flixbus last year, to Stockholm, Gothenburg, Warsaw and Aarhus. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with them... a poor way of travelling, but on the plus side they are more environmentally friendly than planes and cheaper and more convenient (fewer changes) than trains. My daughter bused with them in Europe for two weeks!

BP says:
SJ's advertising with X 40 000 is clever, as long as travellers are given an explanation of what the designation stands for and refers to. Otherwise people will think it's a new train.
I have never heard of Flixbus. You always learn something new. To be honest, I'm not too keen on sitting XX hours in a bus.
