Dometic launches bike rack-mounted rear view camera
Dometic introduces an innovative solution to a common problem: bike racks and bicycles that interfere with the rear view by blocking the camera. Dometic's bike rack mounted camera, CAM200, is a unique solution to ensure a perfect rear view for drivers with bike racks on their vehicle, according to a press release. The device automatically switches between two cameras to provide a perfect view. The rear view camera is mounted on the lowest part of the bike rack, and is easy to install on most bike racks.
Arto & Flair is "Motorhome of the year" according to Promobil readers
The Flair, Arto and Smove models from Niesmann+Bischoff have once again taken top honours in the "Readers' Choice" section of the German magazine Promobil. The company says it was honoured to receive this award at the start of the CMT show in Stuttgart. In the "Liner" category, the Flair model has now won for the sixth time.
SJ is the company most likely to increase its "buzz"
Buzz is a metric that indicates the extent to which a brand has been positively mentioned. According to an article in Dagens Analys, 300 brands are measured daily in YouGov BrandIndex, including in terms of "buzz". SJ is the brand that has had the most positive development, which may be related to the climate debate.
Major travel trends in 2020
Tickets presents its major trend analysis "The trends we see for 2020 and beyond are more sustainable, feel more long-term and often go deeper than previous trends," says Katarina Daniels, PR and Communications Manager at Ticket. Here are the trends:
- Combating over-tourism - Rather visit 'second cities' and choose places with fewer tourists.
- Focus on relaxation and logging out - Maximise recovery and disconnect from digital channels.
- Holistic health in focus - nature at the centre - Demand for organic and healthy food as well as exercise or nature experiences.
- Delayed bookings - The trend is reversing and people are now booking closer to their departure date than before.
- Sustainability - part of discovering the world - Train travel is increasing, but so is the holistic approach to sustainable travel.

Emma, sun like sun? says:
I wonder, people often come with a handbag, cabin bag and a plastic bag from duty free. How will that duty free bag be handled, do you think?
27 January 2020 - 12:18
Helena says:
Good question! But you should be able to take it with you? I think they are mostly looking for those cabin bags, but I don't really know.

Ama de casa says:
Relaxed and disconnected don't fit in the same sentence if you ask me. Yes, I can manage without the internet during the day, but being "compulsively" logged out I see more as stressful than relaxed. I want to be able to blog every day 🙂
27 January 2020 - 15:42
Helena says:
Haha, I probably feel the same way. I get super stressed out when I can't log in ... 😉.
28 January 2020 - 6:45
BP says:
Nice to see Gothenburg beating Stockholm as well.
Then I completely agree with Ama, I would be very stressed if I didn't have access to the internet. Oh Emma has a point about duty free shopping.
27 January 2020 - 21:59
Helena says:
I totally agree with the part about being stressed if you don't have access to the internet, it can REALLY stress me out 😉.

Ruth in Virginia says:
What little I have seen of the West Coast IRL has been wonderful.
I love the rocky coastline. My brother lived in Gothenburg
in the 1960s and every summer the family rented a cottage on Öckerö.
. I visited Veiken for a couple of days the last time I was in Sweden.
She and her husband are native Gothenburgers, and they showed me
really around.
Don and I often travelled with Elderhostel, where we received lessons and

buildings. No luxury trips but you met nice people.
Discovering the world is probably what suited us.
Being able to live in Alaska and Indonesia because of the job was
because it is a gift.

Helena says:
Surely it is nice on the West Coast! How fun that you visited Veiken 🙂 And what exciting places you and Don got to experience! Both Alaska and Indonesia sound sooo exciting.
28 January 2020 - 7:36
Lena - good for the soul says:
That thing about western Sweden and the New York Times was funny! I can certainly imagine that those who live there or have a cottage there are divided. If the west coast has not been invaded before, it will be now!

28 January 2020 - 5:47
Helena says:
Well, tourism is always a mixed bag. Good for the finances and certainly fun to a certain extent, but not fun if it becomes too much ...
28 January 2020 - 7:37
Anna / boihusbil.se says:
I want to choose when to be on or off. But I can also understand those who really need to get away from the possibility. I myself stopped using Instagram because I couldn't control how much time I spent there.
28 January 2020 - 16:33
Lena in Wales says:
Glad that "my old" West Coast was included on the list. There is actually a lot to experience there.
All these different companies' baggage rules are a jungle and they change all the time.
Take care!
