This week has been characterised by storms and colds. It has rocked and rocked and I (Helena) have slept and slept. Now I hope that the worst cold is over (Happy Friday!). However, I do not know what will happen with the storming ...

Storms
My goodness it's been windy! When we talk to people who live in houses or flats, they sometimes look at us in surprise when we tell them it's windy. It may not be so noticeable when you live in a stable building. When you live in a houseboat noticeable what we promise.
It rocks, rocks, rocks and sometimes there is a gust of wind that shakes the whole boat. Usually it's okay, but in some periods it has become a bit tiring. By the way, the photo has nothing to do with the storming. I have taken it in one of all the calm hatches. among themselves storm surge.
Colds
I (Helena) have had a terrible cold all week. The worst symptom is that I have been terribly tired. Fortunately, I had written some blog posts in advance and I was able to work from home one day this week. As soon as I got the chance, I have slept, slept and slept. Now it starts to feel a little better. Happy Friday!
The photo has (again) nothing to do with the text, but is taken from my walking route to work, overlooking the marina where we live.
Exercise and healthy eating
Peter has so far survived my cold and has continued his jogging rounds. He also likes to cook and now that he is not "allowed" to cook unhealthy dinners with wine, he goes all in and cook luxurious "health dinners" with water. There is nothing wrong with them either, I must say!
Best this week
This hasn't been a very good week, but the best thing is that I'm feeling better now and that Peter has (maybe) survived the cold. What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
Peter is working on travel planning for this autumn's summer trip with the motorhome (always a lot of planning!) and will continue to do so. On the blog there will be, among other things, another museum report.

It has been both a good and bad week here. I have probably suffered from something similar to what you have done so last Saturday I hardly left the sofa. Here, however, I have shared with Lars so there is a lot of coughing and sneezing. Nevertheless, we have spent a cosy day at Säröhus with a spa, I have worked two days, played bowling and shuffleboard with my colleagues. Right now we're on the train to Stockholm and tonight we're going to watch "En värsting till syster". We talked earlier about hearing if you were free for a lunch or coffee tomorrow now that you are at home, but there will be more chances.

It sounds like a lot of fun! 🙂 If you still have time and desire, we could meet for a walk tomorrow 🙂 I answered Messenger to Lars, did not find you there ...

Poor thing! Good thing it seems to give in and hope Peter doesn't have to! By the way, he would have to come here and cook!!! We are not good at eating healthy .... Boring cooking. Ok best part of the week: we are clearing up to get the rooms in the little cottage! Have a nice weekend!

Hope the wind subsides and that you get better Helena! Here we have felt that we have embedded ourselves. Feel really, really good in the apartment. Some small picks to be fixed and we have received fibre. So nice! Right now we are waiting for the carpenter to put in the shower walls for us and the friends who come to the terrace lunch ?

Glad you're on the mend! Fingers crossed that Peter will make it.
The best thing about this week? Well, I guess it's that it wasn't worse when Anders fell down a hill in the Sierra Nevada and broke his upper arm at the shoulder. It seems that it will work out without surgery, but it remains to be seen. Right now he is wearing a brace and will take it very carefully. Recheck on Thursday to see if it is still in the right place for self-healing.
Well, yes. Better things have happened, but like I said. It could have been much worse.

So heavenly good that you had posts in mind! Poor thing, a cold is so hard because you still have to take care of everyday life. If you have the flu, it's kind of more OK for the outside world to pass out. But a cold can really kill it too.
Here we have also stopped drinking wine on weekdays, i.e. I have stopped. My husband does not drink wine. But on festive and special occasions it's OK to have a glass in the middle of the week.
Best of the week? My birthday! And yes, there was a glass of wine.

Here on the west coast it has sometimes stormed so much that our robust house has shaken! But then of course we have the open western sea just around the corner. And the cold from the hole is also raging here but also the west coast Friday comes with milder symptoms and hope for a quick recovery.
Wishing you a nice and wind-free weekend!

It's probably best not to be prone to seasickness when it's windy and you live in a houseboat. In an apartment, you hardly notice the storm, but a look at the balcony with all the "debris" that has flown in and all the rattling and thumping from the neighbours' balconies indicates that the wind is quite strong.
Now I hope you haven't shared your cold with Peter, because you know how sick guys can get when they have a cold;-)

Lena - good for the soul says:
Omg, wind and houseboat don't really go together for me! Gosh, I would feel bad. But I guess it is all the more wonderful when it is windless and sunny!
I'm glad you're on the mend.
