Just over a year ago, the "Motorhome Bloggers" group was launched on Facebook. The bloggers in the group now present themselves in separate blog posts by answering the same questions. Here are our answers!

It's our friend Linda, with the blog Reiselindawho is behind the Facebook group "Husbilsbloggarna". This is a group where bloggers who write about motorhome travel and motorhome life can share their posts - and where other interested people can read them. The group now has almost 500 members! Presentation of the motorhome crew
We are Peter and Helena. We live in a houseboat in Stockholm (Solna). Our biggest interests are travelling (mainly by camper van but also in other ways) and blogging, and travel blogging has over time also become one of our jobs. In addition to blogging, I (Helena) work as a public health expert in Region Stockholm.
What kind of motorhome do you have and what has your "motorhome trip" been like? How long, how many and why?
We have an Adria Coral 660 sp from 2007. We have redesigned it both inside and out, including foiling, so it is now "one of a kind" ...
Neither of us has a camping background, but we both like travelling. When we travelled to New Zealand in 2007 with Peter's two sons, I (Helena) did research before the trip. I realised that motorhomes were less expensive than other options and suggested this to Peter.
Do I look like a camper?
Peter
"Do I look like a camper?" he exclaimed, looking very upset. After some financial calculations, he relented and we rented a motorhome. What happened? We fell in love with the free lifestyle, went home to Sweden ... and bought a campervan. We still have the same motorhome today.
What are the best and worst things about the motorhome you have now?
The best Our motorhome is spacious, has lots of storage space, is comfortable and has high ceilings. We also love that it is equipped with an oven.
The worst with our motorhome is that it is a few years old. Several things have broken, but we are now fixing one thing after another in the project. FREEDOM 2.0.
Where are you right now? And what are your travel plans for 2020?
We are at home in our houseboat in Stockholm (Solna). Our motorhome is still in winter storage in Värmland, but we will soon pick it up. The first thing we have to do then is to continue working on the FREEDOM 2.0 project. We will get back to you on this!
We had planned a European trip through Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Now it is perhaps more likely that we will be travelling in Sweden. The great thing about motorhomes is that you can change your plans quickly!
Do you have a favourite place, town, country, campsite...?
If we were to mention a special place, it would be Corsica. What an amazingly beautiful island, with wild nature and paradise beaches!
Which place are you not going back to?
We usually don't go back anywhere... It's not because there's anything wrong with the places, but because we love discovering new places!
Tell us about something that happened in your motorhome life that you won't forget!
In 2015, we made our dream come true and travelled around Europe with the motorhome for a whole year. We started by driving to the west coast of France and then continued around Spain, France, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro and Croatia among others. The trip of a lifetime indeed!
What are the best and worst things about motorhome life?
The best with motorhome life is freedom. You have everything with you, you don't have to plan much and you can change direction at any time.
The worst with motorhome life is ... No, that's where we're wrong? Maybe it's that there's a lot to keep track of when travelling in different European countries, when it comes to things like LPG connections and environmental zones, for example.
Do you have any smart tips for other motorhome owners or anyone planning to buy a motorhome?
Wow, where to start? A good tip is to start talking to other motorhome owners to exchange tips and experiences. Go to fairs, join Facebook groups, read motorhome blogs, talk to other motorhomers at caravan parks and so on. If you're planning to buy a motorhome, we've put together some great tips here:
What are your best tools for travelling in a motorhome?
A good GPS is invaluable for finding your way around, but we also like to supplement it with a good old-fashioned map book. To find pitches and campsites, we mainly use the CamperContact app, which we find handy.
Feel free to follow our travels and antics here on the blog, at Facebook and on @freedomtravelnews on Instagram.

Thanks for the presentation, it's great to know a little more about all the bloggers. This year we might actually see you on the road, now that everyone has to stay "at home"?. It will show if Sweden is as small as we say...?

A wonderful and informative post! Almost makes me want to get a motorhome, but then there's that thing about the narrow alleys... 😉.
23 April 2020 - 9:53
Helena says:
Haha, the alleys yes, but this year we can't go to Italy so it will be a bit easier 😉.

Solan says:
Your amazing trip around the coasts of Europe is still the best I have read of all the blogs so far.
Your car in Värmland, ours in Västergötland. Maybe the wheelhouses will meet in Stockholm in the future! ?
23 April 2020 - 12:46
Helena says:
Is he in Västergötland? Do you have a plan for when/how to pick it up?
23 April 2020 - 19:14
Solan says:
We don't know. It's on electricity in a barn with good friends. The campervan's nerves are not yet shaken. After all, there were five winter months in the car before a certain virus struck...

Reiselinda says:
Glad to hear from you! Hope to see Freedom 2.0 during the summer. Maybe more chance this year as there will probably be a trip to Sweden!

Yes, now everyone will be crowded in Sweden 😉 Good to see you!

Nice presentation and just love Peter's comment about campers. There are probably many people who say the same but probably also very many like Peter who "fell there" afterwards.
I hope FREEDOM comes out soon so we can all follow the renovation that you have started.
23 April 2020 - 18:02
Helena says:
Haha, yes it can probably be so. We had some preconceived notions, but then we were completely sold 🙂.

A very funny post! I think there are many (read: most) who are holidaying at home this year. Just talked about it with two friends today. Unfortunately, we agreed on one thing, namely that zero eights will not be welcome in, for example, Norrland and on Öland and Gotland.

Haha, Peter's comment! He had to eat it, it seems!
The picture of you at the end of the post, it's great! What an attitude!
