Lithuania in a box, what does that mean? Yes, we wondered that too, until we lifted the lid. Today it's time for us to (finally!) pick up our motorhome from winter storage. Happy Friday!

Lithuania in a box
A while ago, we received a postal notice in our letterbox. We had absolutely no idea what we were going to pick up at ICA, but it turned out to be "Lithuania in a box". We had contact with the Lithuanian tourist office before, when we were considering travelling with a motorhome in Lithuania. Now it is quite a long time since we had contact, but apparently they have not forgotten us completely.
So, what was in the box? Well, a nice cloth bag, a hand cream and a small packet of portion-packed honey. What a nice little gift! Many days are the same nowadays, so an unexpected package was a welcome and fun element. We are still curious to discover Lithuania by motorhome in the future. We will see when it is possible to plan trips again!
Time to pick up the campervan
Today we have embarked on a "foreign trip" to pick up our motorhome from winter storage. It has been in a garage in Värmland during the winter and we are travelling there by train, to then be able to drive home. One should not travel far unnecessarily in these times so we will not be away for long. The goal of the trip is just to pick up the motorhome and then go home again.
Motorhome summer
As soon as we get the motorhome home, we will start fixing what remains. Our motorhome is a few years old, and last autumn we decided to renovate it. We have achieved a lot, but also have a lot left to do. In addition, we were hit by an unfortunate leak in the roof that we have to fix. You can read about last autumn's motorhome fix here:
- FREEDOM 2.0 - time for revival
- Charging your campervan's batteries, cleaning and fixing lights
- Inspection and major servicing of motorhomes
- New tyres - and still problems with the clutch
- New connection to the motorhome - and new tables and chairs
- Winter storage of a motorhome - and repaired cushions
So there will be a lot of motorhome fix, and then it will be a motorhome summer. As it looks right now, you can travel about 2 hours by car from home, so it will be a relatively large area that can be explored!
Best this week
The best part of this week is that we are picking up our motorhome today! We also met Peter's youngest son Billie and his girlfriend on a bike/scooter ride. Very nice! What can you highlight as positive from your week?
The week ahead
In the coming week, the focus will be on the motorhome. We have also made some exciting excursions in the local area, which we will write about.

How wonderful to get Freedom home. Then it is just to start renovating so you can soon get out on the road. This week we have had a major cleaning and fixed a little with our faithful servant. It was necessary!

Nice to bring the motorhome home and be able to start working on what is needed. Understand that you are waiting to go on different tours. Wish you a nice trip to and from Värmland.
Best here this week? More of Stockholm, there is a lot to experience here and also meeting with friends and work in a reasonable amount.

Congratulations on getting your motorhome back home! 🙂
Nice package at the post office too 🙂
The best part of the week is of course that we have been given an extended freedom of movement at optional times, we can travel together in our car, meet a maximum of 10 people in a group and that the restaurants have been allowed to open their outdoor seating again 😀.

We have ours at home and almost ready to go, eventually,
This week, I am happy that my eye was ok after the emergency visit and that my hair was finally cut, after 9 months.
Have a nice weekend and roll calmly Hugs

But how happy I am that you are going to go and bring the motorhome home! Almost feels like it would be me who would do it 🙂
Yes, you get quite far in two hours! It will be interesting to follow where you go this summer! Even if the destination is close, it feels like you are travelling!
We are going on an excursion tomorrow, to the sea! It will be great!
Have a nice weekend!

What a nice surprise! Oh the cloth bag is perfect, because you have just "switched" to environmentally friendly bags. Laughed well at the hand cream, fortunately it was not hand sanitiser;-)
It's great that you get to bring Freedom home today. Hope the car is fine and that you get home without mishaps.

The best part of last week was finally buying a lot of flowers and planting them. So far, the pots have to go in and out of the outhouse to avoid freezing their paws. But during the week they will probably come out for the season. Love this time!
