Soon it will be possible to travel freely in Sweden. Great! We are looking forward to realising some exciting travel plans in Sweden with the motorhome. This week we are also excited about the lovely summer weather, and all the cute ducklings of course.

Travel restrictions in Sweden lifted
As of 13 June, people will be allowed to travel within Sweden again, as long as they do not have any symptoms of coronavirus and provided that they behave carefully and keep a social distance. This was announced by Stefan Löfven at a press conference on Thursday. Isn't that "happy" if anything? We have had hopeful plans for some exciting destinations outside the "2-hour zone", and now we know that we will be able to realise these. We are looking forward to it!
How should we plan our travel for the summer?
Travel restrictions within Sweden are being lifted, and at the same time Europe is slowly opening up. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel to all countries until 15 July, so before then we will be definitely do not leave the country. But what if the recommendations change after that? And what if the tourist agencies we work with get in touch and ask if we want to realise the trips we have planned together?
Of course wool We're visiting all the places in Europe that we've made plans for, but it's a bit difficult to know how to plan when you don't know what the situation will be. We also have to take into account work, holidays and other factors. The plans are still a bit uncertain, but we start by rejoicing that we will be able to travel freely in Sweden this summer!
Best this week
What has been the best part of this week? Apart from the news that travelling in Sweden will be free, I think I would like to shout out ducklings! They are soooo cute. We are surrounded by constant beeping, and there is always some poor soul circling the boat because they have lost their mum or dad. Hopefully they will get back on track!
Other positives are the fantastic summer weather and the week's nice local excursions we made (see below). What has been the best part of your week?
- Restaurant: Paul Taylor Lanthandel in Sundbyberg
- Church: Solna church and the beautiful Norra begravningsplatsen cemetery
- Museum: Technical Museum in Stockholm
The week ahead
This weekend we are planning to take the campervan on the road. It will be the first trip this year with an overnight stay, and we are really looking forward to it!

Helena from Finland says:
Here in Finland, restaurants and cafes have reopened and the summer weather has allowed us to enjoy lunch on an outdoor terrace.

Yes, it is gratifying that we will soon be able to move freely within the country. Now we can finally make at least minor journeys again.
Of course, I can't wait to go to Italy, but that will have to wait.
Have a nice weekend!

I can only agree that ducklings are absolutely fantastic to look at? For me, the best thing has probably been the weather which has been absolutely lovely and which has meant a few dips?.
Btw the picture with the houseboat and the hot air balloon is so nice! / Pernilla

Small things like ducklings can create that little extra in everyday life. It will be exciting to see where you go on your first overnight trip and for you a wonderful experience after standing still for a long time.
Our best thing this week is both the completely destroyed wild garlic and the fine weather Wednesday - Thursday at Hönö, which we are currently visiting. Right now the rain is pouring down but after rain comes sun.

Yes, it was really positive news that reached me and the owners yesterday. Now I just hope that this is managed in a good way so that there will be no decline.
Now the owners have also started to think about the summer's trips, so we will see where I will go. At least one thing is certain, and it will be within Sweden's borders. Now we also look forward to FREEDOM coming out on the road.
Have a nice weekend!

The best thing this week has to be the lifting of travel restrictions! Yippee!
Then the Kinnekulle visit at the beginning of the week can be counted as a highlight. The wild garlic bloomed in drifts, absolutely beautiful!

What cute little down balls 🙂
Glad that you can soon go on longer trips in Sweden, it is still a fantastic country with many beautiful places.
The most gratifying thing is that we have come over to Phase 2 and that we then - for the first time in 3.5 months - left Torrevieja. Admittedly only for a quick visit to the neighbouring town to see what it looked like when people were allowed to swim in the sea again, but still! Felt a bit like we were on the run 😉.

What a fantastic header image! WOW!
It's great to be able to travel freely in Sweden, and I'm sure those of you with motorhomes are especially happy about it. Travelling abroad is a bit tricky, as several European countries have so far said that Swedes and English people are not welcome. They think we don't have the pandemic under control.
Hope you have a great weekend in the motorhome with or without rain;-)

It's unbelievable how free it has been in Sweden, and it's getting freer.

Different worlds.
