Some photos from Peter's 60th birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Peter's 60th birthday, and here are some photos from the day and the celebration. We thought it would be a rather quiet day with Peter's brother on Blidö, but one surprise after another.

Preparations

The day before the birthday we drove the campervan to Sikh helmet in Tierp municipality, where Peter's mum lives. She's alone now, after Peter's father passed away, and was coming with us to celebrate her 60th birthday. For her, it was the motorhome premiere on the trip out to Blidöwhere Peter's older brother Micke lives. We settled into the motorhome, and Peter's mother moved temporarily into one of the small cosy houses on the plot.

Birthday morning

Peter didn't want to make a big deal of his 60th birthday. So he declined all gifts and didn't plan a celebration, but agreed to spend the evening with his brother's family on Blidö.

The birthday began in peace and quiet, and we were able to enjoy the beautiful setting by the sea. We surfed a bit on our mobiles and were completely overwhelmed by all the congratulations that constantly flowed in on Facebook and Instagram. Fantastic! Many, many thanks!

Visit to Haraldsgård

In the afternoon we visited the hostel Haraldsgård, which Peter's brother's wife Nilla bought together with her daughter Dessi. They have been working on the renovation all spring, and now it has really become fantastic. Mother and daughter also run the cosy café Amalia, which I managed to photograph at the only time when there was no queue outside.

Haraldsgård på Blidö

Here we had coffee and buns with Peter's mum in the cosy garden. Here you sit relaxed in the green garden environment, with the right distance between the tables.

Birthday night - with surprises

When we came back, we were surprised that Peter's younger brother Dennis suddenly appeared in the garden, together with some of his children. In the picture you see Dennis, Peter, Micke and Dennis' son Pontus.

The surprises continued, one after the other. First, Peter's eldest son Robin and his wife Alexandra showed up. After a while, his youngest son Billie and his girlfriend Natalie arrived. Even though we had planned something simple, it was a great feeling when everyone arrived on the island to celebrate Peter.

We had a great dinner with grilled salmon, on the terrace with wind protection against the water. There was talk and laughter, some spontaneous emotional speeches and a lot of music. And of course Peter's mum's cake. We want to say again a big, big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this day special and memorable!
