Autumn is here, so we might as well do a little autumn list! How do we feel about autumn, what are our plans and what are we looking forward to? If you have your own blog, feel free to join in and make your own version of the list!

Autumn list 2020 - our version
We were not the first to make this list. I recently saw it on the blog A little more pink. Other travel bloggers who wrote autumn lists this year are Let's go explore, Travel Friday, Dryden and Come fly with me. So, let's get on with it!
Do you feel ready for summer?
Yes, indeed! There was unexpectedly a lot of Sweden this summer, but the summer weather was wonderful and the trips were exciting, so there was no need for us. Then we extended the summer with the trip to Poland and the Czech Republic, where we had up to 28 degrees in September, wonderful! Now autumn can come!
What was your autumn like a year ago?
It is so good to have a blog, because then you can peek at the answers to these (otherwise) difficult questions. It seems that it was quite busy last autumn! Among other things, we hung out at Elmia exhibition, Peter climbed mountains in Swiss Verbier and so we experienced in the Egyptian Sharm el Sheikh. We also went to camping cruise and on a fantastic food and wine journey to Budapest.
What did your autumn look like five years ago?
Oh, now it's really lucky you have a blog so you can check! But wait, in 2015, we were out on our year-long European trip with the motorhome! That autumn we spent a long period in lovely Croatia, where we stayed for a long time on the island of Brac. We also visited sites in Albania, Montenegro, Italy and Germany.
What was the best and worst thing about the summer?
The best part of summer 2020 was our lovely motorhome trips along three canals in Sweden: Göta Canal, Trollhätte canal and Dalsland canal. The worst was (not unexpectedly) the world situation and that we had to cancel our planned trip to Europe.
What kind of culture do you plan to consume this autumn?
We received cinema tickets for Christmas, both for regular cinema and for a slightly more special cinema experience. As it turned out with the corona in the spring, we have not used them, but we hope to do so later in the autumn!
What will be your most worn garment this autumn?
We hope that we will use our new training clothes. We have just bought new long training trousers and thin windbreakers that we intend to jog in. Hope, hope that we manage to ensure that they are well used garments!
Will you book a trip abroad this autumn?
We have no plans to book a trip abroad right now, but that can of course change over time. The next period we will hang out in Sweden and find fun in our local area. Then we will see what happens, we take it as it comes!
What are your goals this autumn and what are you most looking forward to?
Having "goals" for the autumn may feel a bit ambitious. I hope that we have time to fix things that need to be fixed with the motorhome and houseboat, and that we get some order around various projects related to, for example, the company and the web shop. And yes, getting started and jogging, that might also be a goal!
What are we looking forward to? Well, we're looking forward to enjoying the autumn in the houseboat, cooking and eating good food, getting started with some planned projects, finding exciting adventures in the local area and maybe, in the best case, also taking it easy from time to time.
Hasse says:
You don't plan like last autumn. We lie low and await all planning based on the current situation. However, we managed a small motorhome trip to Denmark and Germany when the pandemic subsided a bit. But now it is picking up speed again and it affects everything.
Most used clothing until now has probably been denim shorts, from May to September. Exercise is vital, have a routine for it that makes it work. Fixed days with flexible times.
All good!

It is definitely more difficult to plan this year, and you have to take it as it comes. Great that you got the trip to Denmark and Germany! It was a bit like our trip to Poland and the Czech Republic 😉 Great with training routine, we are working on it!

Nice list with great answers from you/you 🙂 .
The blog is really good to have to remember. Have used it a lot this autumn to check if we have been there or there when we planned our round trips. Very difficult to keep all the names of different villages in Spain apart and most of them seem to start with A 😀.
Make sure you really get some rest and relaxation into your plans - you may need it after the recent stress.

Yes, the blog is really good for memory! I also have trouble with all the names from time to time 😉.

Nice list! 🙂 Maybe I should also write something in the blog about my thoughts for autumn (and winter). In our closest city, the corona situation is currently by far the worst in all of Finland and the development does not look great. So I'm expecting to lay low this autumn. If the weather is very nice, I may have to invest in some hiking trails, but otherwise it will be mostly fantasy trips like last spring...

Helena says:
Yes, you write too!!! 🙂 Sad that the corona goes up again, but it is just to adapt, and try to make the best of the situation.

What wonderful memories on your list from your travels. Travelling is really not only when you travel but it is to plan and dream. But also afterwards to remember all your adventures?.
This autumn there will not be much planning or dreaming about travel. Some days I love looking back to a nice trip, other days I turn off my res❤️ as it is a sadness to not be able to travel as I usually do. Today is the corona dip, but there will be better days again. Sorry for my deppiness?./ Pernilla

Yes, we have many wonderful travel memories to dream about! Sure, the situation can feel boring, but I try to think that it gives an opportunity for other things, like discovering the neighbourhood or starting a project we've been thinking about. And yes, there will be better days!!! Hugs to you

What an absolutely stunning header image - WOW, I say.
"Taking it easy once in a while", the last sentence in the post, is probably what you should do. Not just sometimes but regularly. I think you need it actually.

Helena says:
Glad you like the picture! I know we're not the best at taking it easy, but we can try a little bit anyway 😉.

I think it was during your long trip to Europe that I...
became a regular customer of your blog. When you don't get what you love,
you have to love what you're given, which in my case is hanging on, when the
others are travelling. Eastern Europe has been particularly interesting because it is not
was available at the time, when Don and I were travelling.
What is my goal for the autumn? A T T B L I A V M E D current President !!!!

Helena says:
So fun that you want to join us on our trips Ruth! 🙂 By the way, I fully understand your goal for the autumn!!!

Day hike says:
Perhaps we will remember this period as the time when we learnt to be truly grateful for how lucky we were to be able to travel.
I myself am going through pictures from our travels and reading old travel diaries. All the time with a smile on my face.
Imagine how great it will be when we can do it safely again.

Yes, there is a point to it, not to take travelling for granted!
