November photo challenge! This time the theme is extra fun, as it helps to brighten up this dark autumn month. Previous themes have been vehicles, water, patterns, clouds, people, religious, sunsets and man-made. This month's theme is: 50 shades of... any colour.

November photo challenge
It is the travel blogger Maria's memoirs who run the photo challenges and the theme for November is "50 shades of ..." and a colour of your choice. What a lovely, fun and energising theme! We chose yellow to brighten up this November day. By the way, you can see our contributions to previous themes this autumn here:
The Yellow City - Frantiskovy Lazne in the Czech Republic
When I hear the colour yellow, I immediately think of a very yellow city. Frantiskovy Lazne in the Czech Republic. This is a small spa town in the west of the Czech Republic, with many spas and parks. Above all, it is a very yellow town!
Yellow vehicles
Yellow vehicles may not be so ordinary ones really, but they do make you feel better when you see them! Here's a yellow Ferrari from Malta, a yellow motorhome from Germany (seen in a car park in Sweden) and a yellow banana boat from Italy.
Yellow in nature
Nature is of course full of colours. I have chosen a picture of flowers in Croatia (Peter was playing with soap bubbles!), a bird in an aquarium in Langkawi, Malaysia, and an autumn picture from Lake Karlberg in Stockholm.
Yellow on the plate
Yellow is good? Yes, why not! Here is a photo of ajvar and pickled fruits from the Matvärlden supermarket in Stockholm, banana in a pancake from Sri Lanka and a lemon cake from Croatia.
Yellow in culture
Last but not least, we end with a bit of yellow in culture. First a sea of yellow flowers from a Buddhist ceremony in Sri Lanka, then a flower parade in Valencia, Spain, and finally dancing on stage at the Stora Nolia fair in Piteå in 2016.
Which of the photos do you like best? Perhaps you have some colourful photos of your own to liven up November? If you have a blog - feel free to join in and make your own November-themed post!

Colour is a fun but not super easy theme! Agree with Ama, Helena in the sunflower field is a very nice picture, especially now that SMHI promises grey, grey and a little greyer....

I remember the photo of Helena among the sunflowers.
It wins my heart. Green and red thin shoulder straps
makes it perfect.
No. 2 - The wildly dancing couple gets a smile at 5am. 🙂

I was most drawn to the three pictures in nature plus where you are standing among the sunflowers. Lovely yellow pictures that brighten up. For myself, I focused on different shades of blue and green that were in a few different travel pictures. Really a fun theme.
