Do you have more tips on Swedish TV series?
Have you seen any of these Swedish TV series? Which ones have you liked and disliked? Maybe you can suggest some more? It feels like we'll be spending a lot of time at home too in the coming months, so get your tips in!
Lena - good for the soul says:
We are "bad" at watching TV in general. But we have actually seen The Queens. Maybe have a few episodes left. Really good production. I saw Solsidan when it came out. Wonderful humour!
Thanks for the tips on other series. Maybe we'll pinch someone.
Hug Lena

Helena says:
We also liked the Queens! We don't usually watch much TV, but now that we're at home with our computers during the day, we sometimes need to break up the evening with something else ...

Only British says:
I couldn't finish watching The Queens because it is so full of factual errors (my mum is a history teacher). Dick Harrison wanted TV4 to withdraw it for the same reason. If it had been a drama series there would have been room but not if you want to call it a factual series.

Annika in Spain says:
It's really fun to find a good TV series! That said, I haven't followed any since 2015 when the fantastic Mar de plástico was on Spanish TV. I tried to watch Bron on Spanish Netflix, but it was dubbed into Spanish, so I gave up after an episode and a half. Not because I didn't understand, but because the dubbing was so bad.
28 January 2021 - 8:03
Helena says:
I understand you! Dubbed is hard to watch, I think. We started watching some Norwegian and Icelandic series on Netflix that were dubbed. Later we realised that we could change the setting ... and the shows became much better!!!
28 January 2021 - 17:53
Annika in Spain says:
🙂
Here it was not possible to change the setting...

Ditte says:
Nice tips and I have seen parts of several of them. But it is probably only "The Caliphate" and "Our time is now" that I have seen in their entirety. I usually end up with a book in my hand.
28 January 2021 - 9:31
Helena says:
We have to see them! We have become bad at reading, but we both used to read a lot, so maybe it will come back.
28 January 2021 - 17:53
Anna says:
A super old series that I think is on SVT Play Öppet Arkiv called De Drabbade I thought was great when it was on. It's about a group of ordinary people, unaware of each other, who overnight gain supernatural abilities based on past tragedies in their lives (invisible, see into the future, bring the dead to life, read other people's minds, etc). Then there is a battle for these people between the dark and the light side. Exciting and with a bunch of famous actors. Eva Röse, Lia Boysen, Erik Eriksson (who started his career in Storstad Helena 😉 ). Soon after I saw the series, I ended up next to one of the actors, Omid Khansari, on the subway and even though I knew that "everything was fake", I avoided looking in his direction... If you see the series, you might understand why...
28 January 2021 - 11:51
Helena says:
How interesting! What a different series, I don't think I've heard of it. Thanks for the tips! 🙂
28 January 2021 - 17:54
Arne Lindh says:
Caliphate, Greatest of all and Our time is now, haven't you seen them? Do it. They are the best. Otherwise I have no tips. I don't watch much TV. I just don't have the time. Or have difficulty sitting still.
28 January 2021 - 12:04
Helena says:
Oh, now we immediately feel that we have to see these!!! But it's good, because we need something new to watch 🙂 Usually we do not watch much TV, but now that we are not travelling, it has become more ...
28 January 2021 - 17:56
BP says:
Considering how little I thought I watched TV, I am surprised that I have seen and read so many series. Many series are very old, such as Wallander, Wern and Morden i Sandhamn for example. Many are based on books that I have read. In other words, Netflix and others offer a lot of junk food in my opinion. We have neither Netflix nor C More.
28 January 2021 - 17:32
Helena says:
Yes, some are absolutely old classics! There are quite a lot of new ones as well, I think, but now I only chose Swedish series and among other things those that we ourselves have seen, so then there were some older ones as well 🙂 .

Thank you so much for these tips!
I don't keep up with what's on Swedish TV, so this was a goldmine for me.
Have a nice weekend!
