Right now we live a life within walking distance. We don't drive, we don't cycle, we don't use public transport. We go. But soon we will make a small exception and it feels almost terribly exciting, haha.

Houseboats and motorhomes (and electric bikes)
We are doing well in the houseboat right now. The fan heater runs almost all the time and sometimes we even light a fire in the stove. But yes, we are warm and cosy!
The camper van is covered in snow in the car park. Since we don't have winter tyres, we can't go out and drive. And no, we don't have another car.
What about the electric bikes? They'd probably be fine by now, but when the recent weather report predicted 18 degrees below zero, we got a little worried. How much can the Chinese electric bike technology withstand? What do we know ... We took the bikes in and now we take the opportunity to take care of them and polish them a little. So no, no cycling either right now.
Walks here and there
So what do we do? We walk. And then we walk some more. Mostly we walk to the supermarket. In between, there are trips to Vasastan and Kungsholmen, Solna, Sundbyberg, Bromma ...
An excursion
So what kind of excursion are we talking about? Well, today we are going to another end of the capital. We are going to visit a shop and then we are going to meet a friend of ours. Considering that we almost never move outside our little radius nowadays, it feels really exciting, haha. Imagine that life could change like this! Is it like that for you too?
Best this week
The best part of this week is that we have both been working like little ants. Peter is working on the development and commercialisation of the new products (for the the kitchen in the motorhome and the bedroom in the motorhome), and I am working on two reports for the region, i.e. two projects to be finalised. What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
The week ahead? There might be some new walking routes, some shopping for some essentials and some blog posts with new angles (that we've come up with during our walks). What does the week ahead look like for you?
Did you miss the last Happy Friday? Read the On the ball, great support and "fat good"!

Yes, it is cold! But I'm more cold when it's two degrees plus and humid 😉 Have a nice weekend!

It's probably limiting for most people now, but getting out and walking is a good way to combine fitness with seeing something else. Best this week? Nice weather, long and many walks, meeting with friends on walks, that I get such good rehab for my back and that the "special chair" that was ordered came home here from the assistive device centre.
I've also been reading a lot and clearing out my stash, something that can also be noted on the plus account.Wishing you a nice weekend.

The week ahead... We had hoped for a reduction in restrictions from Monday. But now they have decided to extend them until (at least) the first of March. Are we fed up or are we fed up?
But hey, we're enjoying ourselves as much as we can anyway.

I wondered just where the motorhome was and now I know, yes, it's probably fine there. Yesterday I took the commuter to the metropolis south of the capital, mouthguard of course and hand sanitiser was in every doorway in the shops that have such incredibly nice staff everywhere and they thanked me for being so nice😄, was very fun and invigorating actually and it was the whole excursion that felt like an American trip about, like a big adventure and I unpacked everything at home later and the husband looked amazed, then slept for exactly 8 hours. And met our dear also but kept us outdoors in the cold, cold but went better than I thought when I looked at the ice piles from the inside. Walked in beautiful surroundings by the canals. Have a nice weekend and don't forget all the hearts on Sunday. Monica here but not the artist 😊

Nice walks. I do it daily and mostly in Bromma where I live. However, I get a little bored of the same round even though it stretches along Lake Mälaren with magical views all the time.
It would be interesting if you could recommend some different walking routes in Sthlm, preferably with a small map to refer to.
It would also be interesting to have some tips for buying a motorhome, an updated version. You have certainly written about it but maybe you have more to add. New - better second-hand, what to consider before buying, pros and cons of different motorhomes (fully / semi-integrated) roof bed / queen bed / long bed, etc.
A request for posts only.
Have a nice weekend!

Sure, you get tired of the rounds after a while. Good suggestion to write about walking! However, I don't know all parts of the city, so may have to develop the walks first! 😉 Thanks also for other writing tips, I will definitely think about that! 👍

It's lovely, cold outside but warm inside. It is also lovely to look out when it is so cold and the snow is sparkling. Better 15 degrees cold than that nasty zero when the owners can hardly get dressed without freezing.
It is good to have so many different interesting and pleasant walking routes.
All good

The best of the week was undoubtedly our "little holiday" in Tällberg. It was so cosy to pack the weekend trip and set off...
Otherwise, we try to enjoy good weather and longer, brighter days. Even though we are enjoying the walks, we are starting to long for more new views after the walks.

Guess you missed the Winter Cycling Day (https://vintercyklingensdag.se/info/) today. Did not even know that such a day existed. On TV they interviewed a guy in his fifties from Luleå who had an electric bike. He thought it was a bit chilly at -30, then he walked instead hahaha.
As I wrote before - blog about your different walking routes. There are quite a few in zero-eight country.

I recognise that with well-explored neighbourhoods. There have been many walks. The city park in Lund now has a loop for skiing, of artificial snow. Might try it this weekend for a change. Last night we skated on Stortorget's ice rink, a few cuts and then a turn, just me and Sven there, quite cold, but wiggle room... Not every year there are winter sports in this city so you have to take advantage of it. Sledding on St Hans slopes a week ago with the whole family🙂.

Haha, yes, imagine that. Imagine how quickly your frame of reference can change. Now it feels like the worst luxury to dress in something other than soft toys to go to the store! 🙂
