Planning the bedroom in a motorhome/caravan
What is the best way to plan the bedroom in a motorhome/caravan? And can you even talk about a "bedroom"? In large motorhomes, the sleeping area definitely feel like a separate room, while in smaller motorhomes it may be more of a "crawl space". Either way, you want a cosy and homely interior!
Don't bedrooms in motorhomes and caravans look different? Well, the design can be quite different. First of all, you can have different types of beds/bedrooms. We have a crosswise bed at the back, which is perhaps the most common in a campervan today. Many people choose long beds or, for example, queen beds. Here are some different bedrooms in motorhomes and caravans:
What should you consider for the bedroom in your motorhome/caravan?
When it comes to planning the bedroom in your motorhome/caravan, everyone has different ideas. The biggest disagreements are whether you want long beds, cross beds or queen beds - but luckily there is something for everyone. Then, of course, you may have different preferences about colours, materials and how to keep things tidy. We've come up with some solutions that work well for us:
- Fabric pockets above the head end where you can store things like a mobile phone, pen, book ...
- A curtain that we can close when we want to be left alone.
- A fan that we can turn on if it's hot (not necessary if you have air conditioning).
Products for the motorhome/caravan
We have embarked on developing products for the motorhome/caravan, together with the Swedish company Pufz. The first products arrived last year and consisted of dishcloths, trivet and key rings. All products are made of environmentally friendly and durable materials, which are also quiet. and dampens rattle when driving. Perfect in a campervan then!
Upcoming product - bedding set
Now, as you may know, we are developing even more products together with the company Pufz. We have pressed the start button and now we are "only" waiting for production and delivery, which will take a few months. In the meantime, here are some photos of the samples! Last week, we showed you pictures of the upcoming threads and last week we showed products for the motorhome/caravan kitchen.
Now it's time to preview another product, namely a forthcoming bedding set with campervan motif and bedding set with caravan motif. Do you like it? We became completely happy when we got to see a first sample and immediately made our bed! We hope that the bed set will be available in the shop by the end of May, but if you want to be sure to get a copy (the edition is limited), you can register your interest now by becoming part of the VIP group (this is done by signing up for the newsletter, which we send out once a month) and then sending us an email. As a member of the VIP group, you also get a discount in the online shop.

I know that the bedroom is very important. Now I can only talk about caravans. But my first encounter with bedrooms in caravans was a long bed and that's OK. However, we wanted King size so we had that in the next two caravans and felt very cosy. I slept so incredibly well. Of course, we had close cabinets and pockets for small items. And good bed sheets and blankets. Soft quality!
