Stockholm, Stockholm! This weekend we were out "on the town" one evening and it felt incredibly adventurous. There was also a lot of walking in the city, including some interesting new observations. Keep up!
Table of contents
A night on the town
We mostly hang out in our houseboat and go for walks, but last Friday we met our fellow blogger Christian in town. Christian runs Food and travel blog but also the strategic digital agency Boosty.se and Byraval.se helps companies to choose the right digital agency.
Absolutely fantastic to see you! We had dinner together at the Clarion Hotel Sign, and we had so a lot to talk about. The service stopped at 8pm, but we couldn't stop talking so we stayed until 11pm. Imagine what social contacts mean anyway!
At the Clarion Hotel Sign, we started with lion's roe sandwiches, which we already showed in our post with facts about semlor. Very good indeed! Then I (Helena) ate char and Peter chose meat. Very good!
Walks in Stockholm
We have also walked a lot in the centre of Stockholm this week, not least when we went shopping for semlor! We walked past (and into) St Matthew's Church, which is located at the junction of Vanadisvägen and Dalagatan and was built in 1901-1903. Isn't it beautiful?
We also walked past a dog bakery, located on Odengatan near Vasaparken. What is a dog bakery? Yes, we wonder that too. Feel free to tell us!
As we crossed the St Erik Bridge, we saw this message on the ice. An important message of course!
Our products in a magazine - again
Once again our products are featured in the magazine Allt om husvagn & camping (issue 3) and that's great! It is our dishcloths with motorhome/caravan and our Pot holder with motorhome/caravan that got noticed. We are happy about that! Unfortunately, there are wrong (too low) prices in the magazine. Our tip if you want lower prices is to become a VIP by subscribing to our newsletter. The newsletter is sent out once a month and you get a discount on the products!

Best this week
The best part of this week is hanging out in Stockholm and socialising with our blog colleague Christian. We are, like many others, a bit starved for social contacts these days. What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
We are not making big plans these days. The snow seems to be disappearing, which is a bit of a shame, but at the same time means that we might be able to drive the campervan a bit. Otherwise, we have plans to blog about online shopping, sugar and health or maybe food, facts or Unesco in other countries. Feel free to make a wish and we will do our best to fulfil it!
Did you miss the last Happy Friday? Read the A life within walking distance (and an excursion)

How nice to have a social date with someone outside the family! Boy, has it been a long time.
The best part of the week was probably the Valentine's Day celebration, which we made fun of on Saturday 😉.
Have a nice Friday!

Yes, you realise how much you miss social contacts after all! We do almost nothing like this and this was an exception, in a very spacious hotel restaurant 😉 Lovely with Valentine's Day celebrations!

How nice to get out to a restaurant even in these times!
We mostly stay at home, we don't want to get any infection.
We mostly take long walks to get out for a while!
The food looked so good, and the church was beautiful too.
Happy Holidays.....

Yes, very nice! We are generally also very careful, so this was a small exception, and in a spacious environment. But nice it was!!! Wish you a nice weekend!

Great! We are very eager to start socialising again and hope for relief on 1/3. May they not extend again... But we are enjoying ourselves as best we can with walks in the nice weather and it's not bad either.
Great message on the ice there!
We had a similar breakfast for lunch one day - yummy! (Although we had spiced it up a bit with scrambled eggs too 😉 ).
CONGRATULATIONS to the advertising for your great products! A bit of a shame that they haggled the price only ...
Have a great start to the weekend!

So nice to get out and have some social interaction, something we are definitely starving for at the moment.
The best part of the week for us is probably that we had visits from estate agents and photographers for our house sale. It feels really good that it has started.
We wish you a nice weekend!

These buns - yummy, yummy:-) I actually snagged a picture of the tasty buns from the hotel's website.
Nice with a night out. Imagine how much money you have saved for many luxurious evenings out in the future when it becomes normal again.
A dog bakery is an ordinary bakery where dogs are welcome and a special menu has been created for the dogs. There are others in the city and they have been publicised on television. On Fat Tuesday, a dog bakery from the south was shown where the two-legged guests ate "normal" semlor and the dogs were given dog-adapted versions. Dog bakeries have become a success since they were "invented" at least five years ago.

The rolls were awesome actually! And thanks for the info on dog bakeries, I realise that we've been hopelessly behind on this front 😉 Nice that we finally got some enlightenment 🙂 !

Imagine meeting other people and being able to go out to eat. So far from my Wales in lockdown.
There are so many different types of buns.
I really jumped when I saw the picture of Matteus Church. You are about 20 metres from my dear cousin's window facing the church on Vanadisvägen! I have sat there many times in his dining room and looked out over the entrance to the church. It makes me feel warm all over. I haven't seen him for over a year and I can't wait. Imagine how coincidence can make me so happy with this picture.
A picture of a prawn sandwich! Oh, how I long for that!
Have a nice weekend!
