Now, you might think that this is about something extremely exciting, like making completely new choices in life. Well, we're not going to be that dramatic. We're mostly talking about trying to find some variety in these rather monotonous days.

Taking new paths
We usually take a walk almost every day. There are a few different ways to go, but often it's more or less the same walking route. Yesterday, Peter came up with the great idea of doing the same walk, but the other way round. So haha, what to do? But yes, little everything looks different when you look at it from a new angle.
Adventures in the neighbourhood
In time, of course, we hope to be able to drive the motorhome, but we are waiting for it to be ready at the repair shop (after the the burglaryMeanwhile, we enjoy small excursions in the neighbourhood, within walking or cycling distance.
One day we made a visit to Filmstaden Råsunda (what a lot of film history we have in Sweden!). Another day we walked to Mall of Scandinavia to run some errands - there were over 16,000 steps on the pedometer that day!
Planning for the summer
We are also planning for the summer! In our most hopeful moments we were planning for Europe, but with all the vaccine mess we have now postponed those plans. Instead, we are doing travel research and thinking about exciting destinations in Europe. Sweden. Nothing is decided yet, but we'll get back to you!
New products in the webshop
This week, I have also added some new products to the web shops. Our partner Anna, from the company Pufz, has developed these beautiful mountain-themed dishcloths. You can find them among our dishcloths/dishcloths.
Best this week
Best this week? Well, I have to say that the weeks are very equally But it still feels good and fun that we have started planning for the summer. What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
We have both a "local report" and a "factual report" in the pipeline. We have also planned an excursion, and we will see which day we think the weather is best suited for the excursion. What are your plans?

This has been a great week for us. First our house sale was completed and then Lars' little birthday party to Gotland was as good as it could be. The fact that we have come a week closer to vaccination also feels good...
The immediate plans are to bring the motorhome home this weekend and spring clean it!

This week (and weekend) it's almost exclusively exam writing. Sure, the occasional zoom meeting and yesterday I had tea with the Pakistani ambassador and we talked about tourism development. Tonight a friend is coming for dinner. It would be nice if I could finish the exam by then, but I don't think I can.

It sounds nice to have tea with the Pakistani ambassador 🙂 Good luck with your exams!

Haha, yes, it is important to vary yourself in every way you can. 😉 Smart to go the other way. In fact, just this morning I was wondering if I should place my desk in the office in the other direction. 😉 But then I don't get a good view.
I am glad that every day is one step closer to the real spring! Wishing you a great weekend.

Yes, but isn't it? You do the best you can 😉 Have a nice weekend!!!

What super nice wettexes! 🙂
Going on your regular walk in a different direction definitely gives you new impressions and perspectives.
The best thing this week? Hard to say, the days flow together more than usual these days. But it was nice to meet a bunch of friends. We spread out on an outdoor terrace (max 4 per table is the rule) and had a very nice lunch even though we had to shout a little to talk to those sitting at the other two tables 😀.

Helena says:
Funny that you like the wettexes! 🙂 It's nice to meet friends, you realise that it gets empty when you don't!!!

I had hoped for Blekinge at Easter, but it seems that the infection is increasing AGAIN. Taking one day at a time. Best last week was that I was celebrated all weekend, wonderful break in days that look quite similar.
Have a nice weekend!

It is really a roller coaster this with the virus. Congratulations in retrospect! And wish you a nice weekend!

Yes, but variation is nice. Trying to find new running routes around home and it's getting difficult after a 320+ day run streak.
Otherwise, the week has consisted of a change of scenery and travelling. Have flown, just one of those things. Damn nice!

After so many running days, I understand that it is challenging to vary the distances!!! 😉 Flugit!!!? Ojoj, so exciting 🙂

Had a good week with walks every day. Yes, you try to walk in different places. We have some forest trails that I can choose from.

It's no surprise that Ama would like the wettexes. They're actually really fun and not just aimed at motorhome people.
One area that you can explore is next door to your workplace, which you are not visiting right now, but still. Hagastaden with everything "modern" it offers and NKS are well worth a trip, right?! Rörstrandsgatan is not so bad either, but it is perhaps quite dead nowadays with all the restrictions.
19 March 2021 - 19:15
Helena says:
Glad you like the dishcloths! No exactly, it's not a motorhome theme but a mountain theme, you could say 🙂 By the way, very funny that you mention Hagastaden! When your comment came I was working on today's post about Solna where I mentioned the Karolinska Institutet area - after your comment I added "Hagastaden" as well, so thanks for that! 🙂 By the way, Rörstrandsgatan is not completely dead (although of course it is not as usual). Among other things, we buy bread at the bakery Lillebror sometimes. Alltis sooo long queue 😉

Of course, it is good to take the usual walk but change direction. It will be something new.
I am so happy that we live in the city and have so much to offer within mostly walking distance-I love the south and there is a lot of everything here. But some tips are Essingeöarna, Reimersholme and Långholmen. And not least Söder, of course, which has a lot of everything.
19 March 2021 - 20:48
Helena says:
You are a role model when it comes to finding new walks Ditte! Essingeöarna is a good suggestion, we will probably walk there one day. The south is also good. It may be necessary to take the bikes if you also want to walk around there later, but we could do that one day. In the south, we have a lot to discover!

We took some new roads up through France, on our way home through Europe. It turned out to be a very good choice. We are most grateful to be home after 370 kilometres without incident.
