Spring is finally in the air! Isn't it fantastic? No matter how much misery you read about in the news from time to time, the spring sun, flowers and birds make you happy. Now the motorhome season is here too. Happy Friday!

Spring in the air
Isn't it nicer to walk when the sun is shining? We have walked along the waterfront to Sundbyberg several times. The ducks walk around in the sun and the flowers emerge from the soil. It's marvellous!
Old town and Riddarholmen
On Sunday, we took an extra-long walk to Mt. Old town in Stockholm (it was actually over 22,000 steps!). We have of course been to the Old Town many times, but this time we decided to check out everything that we might have missed before. We did some reading beforehand and peeked into every alley (well, almost). Very interesting indeed! We also treated ourselves to lunch in one of those charming medieval cellars. Really cosy, and not many people.
We then continued the walk to Riddarholmen and it was really interesting. In fact, we think we've never been there before. How could we have missed this beautiful area?
The picture below is a bit special because it is taken with a wide angle, but it was difficult to get everything else. This is Riddarholmen with Riddarholmskyrkan - a completely new discovery for us. We will of course write a report about all the discoveries in the Old Town and on Riddarholmen, as soon as we can.
Soon the motorhome season
Now the motorhome season begins. We have just picked up our motorhome from the workshop (after the the burglary) and this weekend we are going to work on it and get it ready for the season. For Easter we plan to go out on the road. We look forward to that!
Best this week
The best part of this week was our unexpectedly nice and interesting walk to the Old Town. And then spring and the sun of course!
The week ahead
This weekend we'll be fixing up the motorhome, and we'll also tell you what happened after the break-in. You can expect posts about the motorhome mishap and the Old Town, and we'll be planning the first motorhome trip of the year.
We wish you a great weekend!

Isn't it great to get out and explore on foot in the company of the sun? And a trip to the Old Town is always right. I am there at least once a week and have been throughout the pandemic year and there is always a lot to see and discover. Many nice meetings with people who live there have also been made.
Nice to read that the motorhome is in good condition again and a trip is waiting for Easter.
Wishing you also a nice weekend.

Wow, how often you are in the Old Town! Maybe it's reasonably close for you? Nice to read about your meetings with the people living in the Old Town! We have probably had too little time for that, but still interesting to look around!

Lovely pictures that are really "spring-like". It is a wonderful time that now slowly begins to come with all the flowers and trees that bloom and turn green.
Riddarholmen is a place for the owners to write down in their little book because it seems to be a place to visit when Stockholm can once again be visited by the owners.
Hope everything goes well with your motorhome so that you can also get out on tour.
All the best and happy holidays!

Surely it is wonderful now that spring is coming! Riddarholmen was a surprise for us, mainly because we've never been there, which felt a bit strange 😉 It's quite small so there's not much to "do", but very nice and interesting buildings, and there's a restaurant in a boat.

A little fun with Riddarholmen, many people probably skip it but very nice to walk around and some people even in the past. There was such a nice restaurant there, do not know if it is still there. Been to concerts in the church when dear daughter was so active with the music and here were the very best in classical music. We also looked at the coats of arms in the Knight's House, both friends and colleagues, it took many years before they even mentioned their origins and I only use first names and did not think at all: -), my aunt lived next door to a family and what they helped her and she them too, he was a professor I knew but that he had perhaps the most beautiful coat of arms in the Knight's House I only saw when a journalist wrote it. Have a nice weekend and good luck with the motorhome and hope it rolls well.

The only restaurant we saw was a restaurant boat, but it looked nice! Maybe there was something else that we missed? Interesting with the coats of arms! Yes, we also have friends with such names, but maybe nothing you talk about so often 😉 Thank you for everything you tell us! 🙂

Now it feels like spring is here but at the same time they are threatening snow for Easter.
Great that Freedom has come home from the workshop. Now our motorhome is there instead.
The best thing this week is that Lars got his first vaccination shot! 💉💉

Snow for Easter, is it true? I do like snow, but no, I've had enough ... 😉 So, how is your motorhome? And nice to hear that Lars got his first injection! Sooo positive every time you hear this!!!

You never finish learning on your own home turf, I promise. Oh Old Town is much bigger than you might think, a lot of up and down too now that I think about it;-)

You're really right, it's endless! We will never learn everything, but we have learnt a bit more about the Old Town, and it was interesting! I can also agree that it's a bit bigger than you think. In a way it is small, but at the same time incredibly many alleys 😉.

The Old Town is really charming. So cosy to stroll around there and fantasise about bygone times!
Cozy that it will be a motorhome premiere for you next weekend! Spring is really in the starting blocks now.
